Re-examine the divider line down the center of the body, it's off, considering that your character's body looks like it's trying to be directly aligned with the head. Remember, the human body isn't flat, it contours and rounds at numerous points and the same goes for clothing, the right side of the image, the pattern looks excruciatingly static and flat. If we're supposed to be looking at it from a heavy angle, it should stretch and appear longer and thinner.

Why, thanks! Those are my first attempts to design plate-ish armor, so they are still kinda sloppy. This is more about an idea rather than execution - i'm pretty sure I could do better with anatomy and the like. I might finalize those one day.
