Due to the appearance of the first person, one would assume he is either
drunk or drugged, an ailment nobody can help with. He would probable lash
out to any assistance provided, and so people ignore him. Not the compassionate
thing to do, but justified based on similar events where people got mugged helping.
It is completely unnatural for a suited, neat person to be lying around on pavement,
and so people rush to help.
This does not compare appearance, this merely compares the mentality of people with
respective appearance.
TD;LR: You wanna pull off a mugging, put on a suit

People don't think that far. They just don't want anything to do with dirty hobos.

People don't always "think" about their behaviour, they merely feel and act accordingly, which does not imply that no complex sociological process preceeds this behaviour.

I think that the location has a part to play too. I think the acts of people would be different if you compared it to other societies.

No they're not. I can promise you that a Lion would not give a **** if it saw another animal hurt on the ground; all it would see is another meal.

Besides, it may come as odd to you, but people have no obligation to care about eachother, that's what MAKES caring about eachother so significant.

I semi-agree.
I think the main issue is no-one wants to take responibility. You cant help a homeless person without taking responsibility to take him to a homeless center or anything.
With a man that appears to be normal "Or suit which was kinda overdone" You dont take responsiblity knowing only two results are possible
>He gets up and just felt abit ill.
>You call an ambulance and wait til they arrive.

No, its the fact that person B is a woman. I saw one where two actors did the same thing one was a business man and the other a business woman. The man was left alone while everyone rushed to the woman's aide.

What? Homelessness causes spontaneous unconsciousness?

No dude. If you fall to the ground in a coughing fit, that's because you are in need of medical help, not because you don't live in doors.

Many homeless people are alcoholics or drug users, they might have some serious disease too and aren't much about hygiene, i would call emergency health care or so but wont go nearby.

Honesty, I would approach the homeless guy either. They scare the hell out of me. Every time I pass one they harass me. No, I'm not talking about asking for change, that's perfectly fine and shouldn't bother anyone. Homless people tend to grab me and either make me pray with them. I even had one corner me and start stalking to me about how they use to rape girls exactly like me in their home country. I had another follow me around asking for a kiss and started yelling out in public I spit on him when he was just sitting there.

I'm sure not all homeless people are like this but for me personally they scare the **** out of me.

I live in canada but I think it's more of a city problem. I live in edmonton but down town here is horrible to go to if you are a girl, even during the day. The rest of the city is fine but the homeless (not all, i've had some ask for change and thats all) people are horrible.

Even if you walk with a group or walk with guys you still get grabbed at. for **** sake, people use to slap my ass as I walked down the street. I ******* hate this city
