Subbed in 9/10 cases.

Subbed. Anime gets taken much more seriously in Japan, so they have much better voice actors.

Like, you can feel the emotion in their voices in Japanese. It's so great.

For example, if this show got a dub, I would burn anyone who mentioned it and then drink Clorox to cure myself.

Incidentally, what anime is that from by the way?

Hyouka, currently airing. 8 episodes out so far, out of 21 or 22 total and airs each Sunday.

Dubbed, because I am a stupid and lazy american, I have no time to read!

Anyway you get the full effect when it is in your native language anyway.
User avatar #7867 to #7846 - frenchfryy (06/14/2012) [-]
it depends... I prefer subs for the more obscure animes and shorter animes, as a native language always sounds better (American voices sound better in a American cartoons) (Japanese voices sound better in anime cartoons). THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS! I find Gurren Lagann's, Cowboy Bebop's, Inuyasha's, and Eureka 7's dubs to be superior, Gurren Lagann only has a better dub because in the sub, Nia is voiced by a male... It's creepy just listen...

I agree about the more obscure anime. More popular anime, though, tends to get much better dubs. In which case it's more of a coin flip for me.

i think i would have to say subbed myself in agreeance with the most of you

Dubbed. Makes anime easier to watch, especially when you marathon a series.

Ehhh, I'm with Matthews on it being tied. I really like both the subbed and dubbed versions.

Is this a serious question?

Subbed x100.
There are very few shows that have a dub that doesn't make me want to stab my ears.
User avatar #8046 to #7861 - elbrysobrony (06/14/2012) [-]
Cowboy Bebop?
User avatar #8054 to #8046 - MillionsKnives (06/14/2012) [-]
Bebop
Berserk
Cromartie
and one or two others I can't think of right now because I'm tired.
User avatar #8055 to #8054 - elbrysobrony (06/14/2012) [-]
Really? Berserk had a good english dub? (Not sarcasm. Seriously asking, never dared watching either one in fear someone would walk in on someone bisecting another.)
User avatar #8056 to #8055 - MillionsKnives (06/14/2012) [-]
Yes, especially since it's set in medieval Europe it just fits better. It's much better with some names as well (e.g. Griffith is actually pronounced Griffith and not Gurifisu)
User avatar #8058 to #8056 - elbrysobrony (06/14/2012) [-]
I guess so. Maybe I'll stop being a pussy and decide to start watching it eventually.
User avatar #7860 to #7846 - MatthewsGauss (06/14/2012) [-]
they are tied but im leaning a little towards the subbed side for L's performance
User avatar #7849 to #7846 - lijda (06/14/2012) [-]
subbed
