With the small number of shows I've seen so far, the only one i can think of that fits this is Demon King Daimao. For about the first half i didn't think it was too bad. It had some funny moments and the characters weren't too bad either. But then during the later half it seemed like it didn't know what to do with itself. Almost as if a large chunk of the story was taken out and they tried to make up for it by having all sorts of shit happen.

ImmaAnteater ONLINE (07/19/2012) [-] Mashiroiro Symphony: The Color of Lovers : It started out nice. But then after about 5 eps it just seemed like they stopped trying and it became just a very stereotypical romance/slice of life. I finished it all hoping it would redeem itself but it never did. It just got more and more cliche and predictable.
Haiyore! Nyaruko-san: I know a lot of people who liked it but it seemed after awhile they get trying to recycle the same jokes and I just got bored with it.
I'm missing a couple other shows but I just neglected to put them on my MAL so I don't remember exactly which shows they were. =/

jakeandhistoe (07/19/2012) [-] Deadman Wonderland - First episose was alright, but after that I started to hated every character I came across. Dropped after 6 episodes.
Strawberry Panic - Started off alright, but succumbed to the same curse as DMW, as in I hated alot of the characters and the overall experience went in shambles.
Air - Started off pretty nice, but it just felt overly rushed. You can't fit a large-ish visual Novel into 13 episodes and not take out story; especially important plot points.
FLCL - Probably going to get hate for this, but I didn't like FLCL at all. The first episode was... alright. But after that I just couldn't stand to watch it. I manned up and finished it since it's only 6 episodes but I don't really see why this is held as highyl as it is.
I'd give more anime and better explanations, but I'm tired and not in the mood.

jakeandhistoe (07/19/2012) [-] Air would have been much better if it was a longer anime. Kanon 2002 had the same problem, it was 12-13 episodes and it missed out on alot of content.
If they remade Air like they did with Kanon 2006, I think it would turn out to be pretty good. But sadly, I don't think that will be a possibility any time soon.

I'm sorry, but I watch anime to understand what's going on during the FIRST watch. I'm not going to watch it over again just to understand more about what the flying fuck was going on; especially when the plot and character were all uninteresting and boring.
Sorry if I'm coming across as overly aggressive. I'm pretty tired and I get agitated alot more.
