Last time I checked I couldn't shoot lazers out of my hands. My point is that in certain shows you have to be born with a special ability to have powers, but in DBZ all of the powers like flying and Kamehameha and such are accessible to anyone who puts in effort.

Then again, I think one of the first lessons the turtle guy wanted to give goku was to not use his powers to show off. The motto was to train to be as hard as you can. If you think the ideology is so strong in the anime, you should consider training to your fullest in this world?
