Yup. The speed at which they flip their shit is astonishing. A while ago I came here asking for information about some anime. Everyone was nice and helpful. I felt like thanking just one of the 10 people who replied would be assholish and thanking each of them individually would be excessive, so I made a new comment thanking the board. Then I got 15 red thumbs and hate from the same people who were nice to me 20 seconds ago. It's like the who board has a bipolar disorder.

if your post truly was an accident, you could have just played it off quietly and deleted the post, but instead you decided to go on further which in return made you look like an asshole. FJ imageboards don't work the same way as other imageboards do...there's no bumping or bump order or anything like that, so we really can't just ignore posts that we don't like and hope that they'll eventually get pushed down and 404'd

On a side note, you're not the only one who dislikes the "tight community idea". I find it creepy when users call eachother by their reallife names and chat like they're best friends, sitting next to eachother, discussing how their day went.

I don't exactly dislike the fact that people are close here, it often makes the conversations go smoother, but it can be kinda intimidating for newcomers which is a shame.
