You did better than I did. The only thing I got really confused about is why Shinji tried to strangle Asuka.

Shinji was an mentally unstable kid and pushed beyond his psychological limits on numerous occasions, of course he'll snap at random times/ triggers and act out like that..

The reasoning is simple. Asuka's selfishness drove Shinji to hate Asuka.

The dangers of a Tsundere trying to move on an unstable kid with the tsun a bit to high..

That's why I don't understand how anyone likes her. I would probably take the same measures Shinji did in dealing with Asuka.

The balance is more dere in the other manga's and doujins- that's probably why they like Asuka more in some cases..

I think I'd like her more in Raising Ikari Project when I get around to getting the Manga's.

In Raising Project, Rei is more the shy but assertive type- but more open and engaging- especially with Shinji.

I shall accelerate my plans for getting the Manga's of it then.

There's a fair bit of humour/ fanservice established on how aggressively the competition for Shinji gets between Rei, Asuka, Nagisa, and Kirishima..

Mana Kirishima, she's from the Evangelion VN/ Game that Raising Project is partially based off of and shares it's name with.

She's from the Neon Genesis Evangelion Girlfriend of Steel Visual Novel. Which I want to find a version which works.

I just checked up on the various eva manga series again, and it looks like they released 2 more raising project manga novels when before it said they'd stopped (now up to 14), Dark Horse just haven't translated them yet..

So I should expect 16 volumes?

#14 was released in Japan November 26 last year, and are released every 6 months, english translations are a bit more haphazard and sometimes can be over a year after the Japanese according to the list: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Neon_Genesis_Evangelion_chapters

You could always read a few chapters on the web before you decide to buy them.. I'm still pulling together the money, but the local library over here luckily has lots of manga- but I've still missed a few pieces here and there because they haven't been purchased by any in the group library sharing system they have going..

im watching evangelion. everything is going smooth. get to the episode where eva unit 03 is brought to japan. unit one's dummy pug is activated. rips unit 03 to shreds almost killing the pilot. now on the episode where shinji is absorbed by unit 01. the one after unit 01 eats an angel.

yay. its odd i usually see these sorts of things coming and therefore they have no effect on me. it actually feels good to be shocked good to know there are things still out there that can do this to me.

Maybe that's why I like Evangelion so much.

its was a shocked disturbed like i didnt anticipate the occurance of it occuring which didnt allow me to mentally prepair for it. its odd i have such a twisted mind nothing has done this to me in a decades it feels good that there is still something that can surprise me like this :D
