ITT: Why you watch anime.
I do it because more often than not, cultural differences bleed through and things that are supposed to be completely serious in an anime end up being hilarious and things that were meant to be funny in the first place end up being even funnier. Also, Anime seems to be better at telling contained, one-off stories than western animated entertainment so I can watch a 12-26 episode anime instead of having to watch a 3 season cartoon with 6 hours of filler episodes.

herecomesjohnny (02/10/2013) [-] i don't even really watch it for the japanese animation but simply because i realize the anime domain simply holds better stories and writing than usual tv shows (Hell, art stopped being a criteria after dead leaves).
so yeah, writing, and that's prolly why i kinda shut down from watching an anime when i see the plot being too clumsy or falling into clichés
