Welcome to the /anime/ BOARD! Here are some simple rules to help you adapt If you plan on staying.

As for what goes on in this board: We have a Katawa Shoujo thread every day, which people complain about, simple threads like favorite characters, favorite OST, waifu and such, sometimes we have threads about favorite users from the board, people asking for recommendations which ends up with everyone saying Boku no Pico, discussions and ratings for the airing shows and very rarely interesting things like interactive games, reviews or creative threads like toguro's ero-fiction.

Well I never expected the board to be so high strung, but I think I'll fit in. Never really created threads to often, hate rolling, no one likes spam, and I'm not here to be a dick.

Hey there, if you want to use Rin as your persona I have to disappoint you by saying that I already use Rin as my persona.

I would appreciate it if you wouldn't use Rin as your persona.

Well, I first discovered Katawa Shoujo 7 months ago and since I've been using Rin as my er, as you said persona. I am sorry that it bothers you, but it's the only images I really use and I'm a bit defensive about it. I know I've been gone for awhile but unfortunately I don't really have any intentions to stop using Rin.

I figure this is seriously coming off on the bad foot and I'm sorry. But thank you for the welcome.

I dont want to turn this into a contest off who have used Rin for the longest time but I've used her longer than 7 months thats for sure.

Let me explain why you shouldn't use Rin as your persona.

Because the persona is most often connected to what person on the board that we think of when we see the persona.

For example if someone would use [insert name here] for a very long time and then someone else comes and start using the same persona, not only is it annoying for the one who has used the persona for the longest time but it also creates confusion with other members on the board.

It is also a question off respect.

And about only having Rin pictures: Well go get some other ones gee its not that hard really.

Invasor also has Kotomi as a mascot.

I dont see it as an issue.

Hmm... I was really hoping not to start on this board with already something bad, unfortunately it can't be avoided.

Truthfully I didn't want to anger someone already, I hope you know that. But I can't really for sure tell you I'm going to just stop using Rin, let alone right off the bat. I'll seriously think about it, since I don't want to piss anyone off or seem disrespectful.
I understand it's easy to get more pictures but that's not really what I meant.

Your favorite character in some anime that you like, someone that you can relate too, someone that has a similar personality.

It really does not matter what the character is like as long as you like him/her/it and as long as it isn't the same character that another user is using. Well if the user doesn't care it's obviously not a problem.

I'm fine today, although I was told to not use Rin as my persona or whatever it's called which kinda put me into a grumpy mood, although still pretty fine. Happy New Year to you as well! Well I like tons, although I mostly seem to watch fighting anime, but recently I have been getting bored of it and been watching more comedy..... Alright, sonic I understand, I'll just fly behind at a slower pace.

Well apparently geobeo has been using Rin for awhile. Well that's a hard one. If I put a lot of thought into it the answers might be different, but I think they are: All the Dragon Ball series, Full Metal Alchemist, Blue Exorcist, Death Note, and Bleach.

Then I would make my mascot Rin's twin brother Ron and say fuck everyone else. Not sure how people would respond to that, but it's what I'd do in that situation. Btw, don't tell people here that you like Bleach. That's a big no no on this board. The big 3 are all disliked, as are SAO, Elfen Lied, BTOOOM!, and a few more I'm forgetting. We'll talk later.

So basically you just said a lot of people on this board don't like Bleach cause everyone like it... If that's true, that really disappoints me. Another stupid reason not to like a show, it's obvious not everyone is like that.

Also I read the list, there is a lot of good stuff on there like: Angel Beats, Bleach, Clannad, Clannad: After Story, Cowboy Bebop, Deathnote, Dragon Ball, Dragon GT, Dragon Ball Z, Elfen Lied, Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost In The Shell, and Neon Genesis of Evangelion.

So what usually goes on here? Just random talking about anime related things I assume, but looking at some posts it doesn't seem as much as I would think.

While we do like to talk about anime and lynch others for not doing so, you'll find that the logic of this place allows you to write a while novel about your penis and then at the end add "ITT: anime" and it's perfectly alright.

I'm glad! When I was a regular on FJ I always wanted an anime thread.

Usually anime discussions, waifu threads, and a rec thread here and there.
Were also all best buds so theres also randomish threads about whats going on with them or something along those lines.

Well I plan on being a regular since I got nothing outside of the internet distracting me anymore, other than school.
