Wouldn't you just use PEMDAS and get 1? I could very easily be wrong since I haven't had to do anything above addition in forever.

Although the saying is PEMDAS for you, some learn it PEDMAS. This is because multiplication and division are completely equal step wise, the same was that addition and subtraction is. You just go from left to right in cases like this.
6/2=3 3*3
