If not is there at least one where the story of their relationship develops gradually and Main Character is not cock-blocked every episode until the last one or two?

My first big find was Beserk, then i found Animes like Claymore and the like. ever since then im hunting for stories with great plot. Hard to foresee plot twists and so forth.
