can anybody recommend me an anime that gives you manly feels, like code geass or tengen toppa?
Since everyone's too much of a hipster to say it: Clannad. It's kind of long (approx. 50 episodes) and starts out pretty light, but it gets feely, especially once you're a little bit into seaosn two.
Pretty easily--it has its comedic moments as well as its feely ones. (Even Code Geass had its funny episodes, mainly at the academy.)
If you only watched the first few episodes of Clannad, you'd probably think it's just a SoL comedy, but typically every arc ends with a major feel. I don't remember exactly, but the first feel I got came around episode 7 or 8. The comedy is definitely overshadowed by feels from there on out. Not to say the comedy completely disappears, but it steadily becomes more and more muted as feels take its place.
Once you get to season 2 (Afterstory) the comedic bits are few and far between. While there are still entertaining characters, things get much more serious and reserved, and it's given me the biggest feel of my life. Code Geass was a killer in the feels department, but just for the final 10 minutes of the last episode. Clannad's feels (in Afterstory mostly) did just that, but for many episodes in a row.

140 years ago in Kyoto, with the coming of the American "Black Ships," there arose a
warrior who, felling men with his bloodstained blade, gained the name Hitokiri, man slayer! His killer blade helped close the turbulent Bakumatsu era and slashed open the progressive age known as Meiji. Then he vanished, and with the flow of years, became legend.
Now, ten years into the Meiji Era, a man named Kenshin Himura appears and is revealed to be the Batousai.
Join Kenshin, Kaoru, Yahiko and Sanosuke as they battle it out with their enemies while Kenshin is trying to stop his 'other self' getting out of control.....ameless copy past
