I apologize for just barging in on your thread, considering I've never posted here, but I feel I need to get this off my chest.

I too recently finished Clannad. And I too, like so many others, was emotionally touched by it. For me, however, it wasn't the death of Nagisa, the mending of the relationship between Ushio and Tomoya, or the reuniting of Nagisa and Tomoya that really got me.

What truly got me was the final episode where Tomoya recounted everything and I realized that we had been on a journey spanning from the end of their school lives, all the way to becoming adults. Essentially, it made me realize that life goes on. No matter what. Now, perhaps, I shall be viewed as naive for feeling this way, but I was well aware of this fact before watching the anime. It just always gets to me when I witness it happening to others from an outside perspective, in addition to going through it myself.

...And thats all I have to say about that.

I know what you mean.
The after story recap episode is the only anime recap I've ever watched or rewatched for that matter

One of the reasons I loved Clannad so much is you got to follow the characters through their lives and really see how they deal with difficulties and blossom. I can't name another anime that does that off the top of my head.
