I'm about to watch Fullmetal Alchemist for the first time. Should I do subtitles or dubbed? The only other anime I've watched was Death Note, and I watched it subtitled and liked it better than what I saw of the dubbed version.

dubbed unless you speak japanese, you don't lose anything from dubbed versions and FMA has a very good dubb

You don't lose anything from dubbed versions, UNLESS:

Dub is bad
Hearing problems
Prefer reading
Are an authenticityfag

I'd say the dub is about as good as the subs. It really depends on your preference.

See that's the thing - I don't have a preference because I don't have any experience with these kinds of things.

You could always just watch the first episode in both subs and dubs, and then make your decision. Personally, I'm more of a subs guy.
