I'm not completely sure about marijuana, but I'd assume that. You ARE putting smoke into your lungs..

I've been told by my peers that marijuana is only bad if it's smoked with rolling paper, but then again we ARE all freshmen.

If your new to it and your friends know that then just straight up say you don't know how its done and they'll show you and probably joke around giving you crap about it for awhile but they won't care if you don't know how to do it

Don't smoke dude. Trust. A lot of my family smokes. After not buying smokes for about 5-6 weeks we saved a few hundred dollars. It isn't worth it.

All I ever do is something productive, and it gets boring.

Just ask for one when no one else is around,
Here's how you smoke:
1. Take a 'drag' of it (be sure to get enough smoke in your mouth)
2. Inhale some air whilst the smoke is still in your mouth (thus causing it to go into your lungs)
3. Hold it for a little (5 sec. or so for beginners)
4. Exhale.
Note: You'll probably cough a little bit your first time, but you'll be okay and your friend will only make fun of you for no more than a minute
Also if you stop smoking for a while, you'll probably couch when you start back up (at least I do when it's been a while).
