I always wanted to join the raf (britain's air force) since i was 15 but i also love karate which i am at international standard. i'm now 17 and halfway through the process to becoming a member of the raf. but now i've come so far and enjoy karate so much i can't bear the thought of not being able to continue. the raf would set me up for life but i really don't want to leave and have no idea how to explain this to my parents.

Any help is largely appreciated

What do you want to do more? Join the RAF and probably have to give up your Karate, or continue with your Karate and maybe make something of it?

It's probably better that you're doing something you enjoy the most.

thank you, you're 100% right i'm really already decided i want to stick with karate but it's how i break it to my parents who will be upset that i wasted time and effort with all of this.

but that nice to have a second opinion on it

No worries man, just stick with it. If they get upset just explain that it's what you want to do, because you enjoy it so much. They'll probably understand.
