Religious opinions only hold back the advancement of science and technology.
Yes/No?
Yes/No?
I agree with WhattheNorris. I'm Baptist Christian and I have no gripes with science itself, only the people who try to use it to challenge the idea of God. My position is the science does not disprove God, it only reveals some of the ways He created the universe. That being said, you believe what you want to believe. I'm not going to argue religion, just expressing what I believe.
well it kinda held back fucking everyone in the dark ages, any one who tried to break away from the general order of things were either: accused of witch craft, blasphemy, or they were considered to be the devil or a demon. so it can hold back more then the believers of that religion.
which is why i pointed out that it wasn't really affected by religion. yes they had their own but it never really held anyone back, its just they were more focused on different things, and when the Americas were found, they had to deal with the "advanced" christens whom were shouting about the savages that were on "their rightfully owned land" that they somehow just found out about. (a lot of the people coming in were Christians fed up with people who knew religion was controlling just about everything and used it for their own power.) so they had to deal with that shit as well
