shenro (11/07/2012) [-] one day i was trying to burn windows 7 into a DVD with Nero and it failed, then the drive stopped reading the disk, i thought this was bcuz of the fail so i ignored it, then today i bought a new DVD and it doesnt read it AT ALL, i tried my driver disks and it doesnt read them either, what do i do?

darkthundertwotwo (11/07/2012) [-] Just use another program. I often use "Ashampoo Burning Studio". It is free and have all functions like Nero. It worked fine for me to burn Windows 7. If you only want to install Win 7 once , and you don't think about to use it in future , it is also possible to copy the iso file on an USB drive. Just google "Windows USB Download-Tool". You will need a USB drive with at least 4 GB , and it will delete all stuff on it. Make a Backup in case.

darkthundertwotwo (11/09/2012) [-] in this case , I think your CD drive is fucked up , I don't recommend to repair them , because a get a new and better one with less money. Maybe you have the possibility to test the drive at your friends PC , and if it isn't working there , you should buy a new one.
