Here to give advice.
If you are in a rough spot, i.e. your life sucks shit atm, here's what I do.
1. Get off your ass and walk at what time you deem acceptable. (If afraid of dark, do at night)
2. Bring MP3 player with tunes, and walk aimlessly
3. Continue for multiple nights, make take up to a month
4. If you notice you are going to a certain spot repeatedly and you had a traumatic even occur there, continue to walk straight to that spot, and rest for some time.
Continue this for at least 1 month (not including step three). It worked for me.
