I've got a legitimate question for any Canadians out there: Is Trailer Park Boys a big deal in Canada? And is J-Rock really a music sensation or can he just rap only on TPB?
User avatar #7 to #5 - ultimatebadass (02/01/2014) [-]
most of my friends watch it but not that big of a deal and j-rock isn't a music sensation, he's only on the show

Thanks for the insight!

Yea I watched the Count Down to Liquor Day on netflix and watched the "concert" J-Rock did at the very end. He didn't do half bad as far as the performance went.

Tough for me to say since I'm from the same city in which they film it. I'd say most Canadians probably know *of* the show, like if you mentioned it to them, but it's not huge.
If you want to talk television with Canadians as a whole, I think the only things the entire country has in common are Peter Mansbridge and Heritage Minutes.

And quebec is something else entirely.

It's definitely not huge at all as far as I can tell in the US.

It's funny to talk to the people that have seen the show. My friend said when he first watched it, he was convinced it was some kind of real life documentary on some people in a trailer park. Personally, I was horse laughing almost every time Bubbles or Lahgey even talked.
