doesn't everyone have a 40 character limit for texts? according to my cingular contract i get 50 texts with a 40 character limit each month.

The SMS protocal is 160 chars, It costs the carrier nothing extra to allow you to do that. It's like sending a freight train down a train-line, but only filling half of it's carriages Then you're being charged for the empty carriages as well

If they're limiting your SMS's to 50 chars, it's a very low tactic to generate more money so that to send the same SMS as people on other carriers it'll cost 3 times as much if it's under 150 chars

Wow, I have never heard of a carrier that ***** . The ones in Australia can be hit and miss, but they at least let you use your whole SMS

also, 50 texts per month is laughable. Those 50 texts cost cingular less than a thousandth of a cent combined. I don't know how much Cingular charges you, but I hope it isn't much

Im honestly having trouble telling if you're just trolling me with logical bs you came up with on the spot, or if you were serious but didn't know that cingular now longer exists since it was bought out by at&t in 2006 and you didn't get the joke i was trying to make

I know it's hard to tell sometimes these days, but no troll. Just uninformed.

Australia has different carriers and I haven't taken note of what US carriers are doing, and who's buying out who etc... Isn't one carrier an AT-AT walker, and the other a vagina horizon? (or something like that)

(I thought Cingular must have been an English carrier since I hadn't heard about it in so long)

But back to seriousness, if you only had 50 char texts, that'd be BS, and be raging hard.
