I just turned 20 yesterday. I've never been employed, I haven't gotten laid in like 2 years and I'm suicidal. All in all a good start to the 20's right?

I'm 26, I have a Master's degree, I make a good salary, and I still live in an apartment playing video games. It is possible to succeed and avoid all responsibilities.

I'm 25 and have went the route every one said I should go. I took. my education further. After graduating among the top in my class in two different vocational schools spanning 3 years total, a year spent struggling to obtain the funds for a much better school in another state and a month taking a course for an underground mining certification...the biggest job in this digestive end product hole state we call West Virginia. Guess what happened with all of that...nothing. I have a clean record, don't do drugs, was among the best in all of vocational school classes and have been one of the most dependable and liked individual in the few places I've worked...only to be denied every single decent job I've applied and even had interviews for. It's frustrating as hell when so many older people look down on you for not having a good job, a successful life and money saved up...I've done my part. I've went the route every one told me to take...and to be honest, it's a joke. Schooling is great, even college...but knowledge means nothing to the working world. you're best chance is to either go to a GOOD school/college you KNOW will give you experience physically doing the activities the field requires or start working ASAP and go from there. Real world work experience...even digestive end productty, dead end minimum wage experience counts for far more than a worthless diploma or good grade.

I fumbled between 18 and 20 and now, at 26 I live in a townhouse, own my car, and am married with babies, have a job that pays 4 bucks over minimum wage that I got as 3 raises over the past two years for my good work. It sucks at first, but like every game out there you don't start as the best, but the worst and you level up as you go!
p.s. I still hate the digestive end product outta bills.

I'm 26, have been working as a dentist for a little over a year now, and I still feel like a kid. I'm going back to Uni to dual specialize as a prosthodontist and periodontist. It still hasn't hit me that I'm going to be doing this job for the rest of my life.

Okay people. I'm 19, and responsibility is starting to hit me like a brick to the face. But for those of you worried that you won't be able to deal with it, you need to know that life WILL give you the tools to deal with it.

You can't avoid the difficulties of life, and billions before you have had to deal with them. It's true what they say, you can't run away from you're troubles. It will catch up with you eventually. So take a deep breath and face up to the responsibility. The fear of change and the fear of the future is always 10x worse than the reality.

So just face up to it, because life is easier than you think.

im 22. from like 14 my parents expected me to have my life figured out. my cousins said the same. i turned 18 same digestive end product no direction constant stress from parents about this. little cousins now telling me why havent you moved out why dont you have a college degree. why dont you have life figured out. at 15 both of them actually knew what they wanted to do. but they had parents pushing them spending the time and money to do what they could. mine though they had a college fund had spent it by the time i was 19 because i didnt know what i wanted to do. at 20 i entered college by my grandmas help and i hated it. everything i wanted to do i was told thats stupid, thats not going to make you money. my choices were psych, photographer (im pretty good with it), animal psych. i love to see why animals do the things they do. all my parents did was put me down never ever supported me. i didnt even know how to drive because my parents said i will never be able to. i met my husband and his family is nothing but supportive. within a few days of moving in i learned to drive, passed my written first try, passed my driving test second (i had to use my grandmas car so i got nervous since the only things im used to is my truck and prius) passed it with flying colors on my second try. mom still says im not going anywhere. im 22 still figuring out things but at least now im trying. i just wish it was going faster than it is i can tell my husband is comming to an end with his patience.

drinking the alchoholz, bar parties, mining at night with a bunch of naughty biscuits and having a dirty romp in the bushes, buying dry ice, eating breakfast for dinner in bed with a rootbeer float. stuff like that.

I was watching Scarface for the first time last night Excellent movie might I add and Tony's sister, Gina, was 20 even though she looks like she could be in her late 20s/early 30s and act like it too. Now People in their 20s look and sound a lot younger and act like it too. I'm telling you, in 10 years people are going to look like they're 10 when they're 20
