Oh you poor souls. Try living in Tri-monthly flood/ thunderstorm land known as south Louisiana. Walmart sells out of water on a regular here.

The Houma region. It's not about cities flooding though. The only area prone to flooding near my apartments is the water treatment plant. We go on "Boil Alerts" nearly everytime it rains. I can't count how many times I've had to use bottled water to brush my teeth in the morning.

yeah it aint too bad, its more of a gross thing than a life threatening thing if you drink it or shower in it, some days its clear for some reason but then goes back to being full of whatever

In parts of the US the tap water is just nasty. Around where I live the soil has a very high level of mercury, which leaches into the water table.

The content is from just before a major winter storm; if the pipes freeze people will need another source of water. And as for the comment, floods can render a previously drinkable water source unfit for consumption by contaminating it.
