In all seriousness, congratulations to this guy. Sounds like it was the right thing to do.

The funny is that a grown ass man is in another's arms like a small child. Go be a cunt somewhere else.

Step parents are fucking awesome. Caring and loving for a kid that isn't even yours is pretty bad ass although I do know of step parents that treat their step children horribly but of course they are excluded

So, I have a related story if you care to read.

I was 16 during my junior year in highschool. Pretty average guy, average grades horrid social life, but at least I was in shape (Cross Country does that to ya). The previous year I lost my grandpa, normally this wouldn't be such a devastating effect but he was kinda the linchpin to my whole family. When he died of cancer, my family (specifically my mom) was devastated, me included. A year passes and it's February and is Valentines day of all things. My Mom and Step-dad go out for a good time, drinking and whatnot. It's a small town so you can just do that shit and not get robbed. Well, I tried to stay up and wait for them to come home, but 1 in the morning is 1 in the morning, fukkit Imma go to bed. They got home at 1:30. The next morning I'm waken up by a cop (Thought it was my Mom). I'm escorted up the stairs and am directed not to go into the kitchen. Dad's a mess. Felt like something shattered, the feeling of everything you knew going to shit and you can't to jack to stop it. Anyways, that day sucked massive amounts of dick. Funeral happens afterwards, I've never felt such a pain in my chest when I heard what my grandma said looking at my Mom's dead body, "That's not her! THAT'S NOT HER!". Fuck open Caskets, shit's not cool. So a few months down the line, my grandmother also dies (When it rains it fucking pours am I right?). So, it's just me, my step-dad and my little sister. Step-dad has full custody of sister, so it's k, but with me? Nah, I'm not legally his son anymore. You fucking what, American Legal System? So, we go and arrange a court date. "Do you want this man to be your legal guardian?" "Yeah." I'm not very good at being formal. So there you have it, I'm adopted by the guy who had been my stepdad for several years. We also had to get a signature from my fat-ass biological father who signed it without hesitation. I got a pretty cool Dad eh takes me hunting and doesn't afraid of anything.

I am happy for you. I am in the process of getting my gay step-father/mother, how ever you want to look at it, and his life partner to adopt me. Although both my mother and father are still alive I do not want them in mine or my wife's life. If you want a Jerry Springer story PM me and I will happily tell you the whole story.
