After working in a call centre before, I hated when customers came through and complained straight away about how long they were waiting to get through to someone. I mean, it's as if they think they're special and should be dealt with straight away when they should realise they aren't the only people ringing in to get **** sorted. It's called a queue, jeez

I have worked at a call center. The vast majority of your calls will be boring. Everyone knows how the call center game works and will just try to get it over with as fast as possible. A significant portion of other calls will be nasty. Think of it like the internet anonymity principle. The less likely you are to ever meet someone, the worse they will treat you. The best calls will be the weird ones. Calls where people do and say strange things to get a reaction out of you. Stay professional, then laugh about it later. I once sold a line of credit to a man while he was ******* his wife. He finished; she did not. But at least he could go buy up to 5000 dollars of jewelry to make her happy!+
