hahaha, i'm a ******* idiot, i automatically assumed it was that "The Sound of Silence" cover because i've seen it all over the place, **** me. shower me with all your hate, i deserve it all god damnit
Coincidence. David Draiman has long been extremely critical on social media of the pseudo-journalism that focuses on the shooters every time this happens.
they used to deal with pretty heavy subjects in a slightly cringy way, such as starting to scream "no mother don't hit me, i promise to be a good boy" in a song about abuse, etc, etc and i think that turned away a lot of people. they seem to have moved on from this and instead got a slightly more self-aware style which i can really appreciate
>>#44, >>#15, My problem with them was that their songs sounded too much alike. But I really dig Immortalized (the album), it's much more varied than the older ones.
Random fun fact: My favorite Disturbed song used to be "The Night", Now it's "The Light"
But that also took away the animosity in their songs.
Every song on the first album is great to mosh to, but not so much on this newer album. There's a reason they play the early stuff at concerts.
It's like the Korn concert I went to last night. Their newer stuff is appealing to more people but **** to mosh to. But last night they played all their old stuff and god damn, most energetic concert I've been to by them. Last time I saw them they played stuff from the Paradigm Shift and it wasn't that great.
**tegg used "*roll picture*"** **tegg rolled image**The concern is about the media focusing on the killer above all else. It's been suggested that it just serves as encouragement for other psychos that want to 'send a message' or be famous.
They need to keep it on the downscale, keep it local only. Once its been a suitable time release the information on the internet. They should not be nationally broadcast, that just lets the next guy whos ****** in the head get it in their mind that they can do it as well.
Which is absolutely true. I bitch about the news all the time just WISHING for the details/facts instead of their sensationalism and opinions. There's a huge difference in the presentation.
Version 1.
And in other news a gunman shot 16 students today at a school in Germany. Our hearts go out to those that lost loved ones. For more details you can find out on our webpage at www.NEWSWEBSITE.com . On to the weather.
Version 2.
Tragedy strikes a middle school today in Germany where Hanz Schmidt brought in an AR-15 semi automatic assault rifle at 9:00 and started mowing down his fellow classmates and as they died one after the other, people looked on in horror. Some with their cell phones out trying to document the rampage set forth by a teenager who was angry at the world for not liking his macaroni picture he made in kindergarten. He is PROBABLY a neo-nazi fascist who hates immigrants, loves guns, video games, and raping women, but we can't confirm that just yet. However he made a post on some obscure website saying "I hate the world" so we can only assume that since immigrants live in the world, he hates them specifically.
Like holy crap......just stick with what happened.
Side note, I re-read what I wrote in John Oliver's voice and it was funnier to me....
He was probably saying why they wont do what they should. People should learn how to deal with the ugliness of the world without going loco and without other people having to baby them. And at the same time it shouldn't be fed to people. We live in a crazy time.
this is actually stupid..why ..grinding just on the first layer of the problem..no one goes on a killin rampage because he saw it on TV.. ther a way bigger problems behind it... not to mention no one remembers the victims only the monsters keep in mind..
Often times a killing rampage can be linked to a cry for attention. News stations will often follow a formula to get more viewers which does nothing except earn the news station money and promote a sort of "mystery" and "power" around the killer, which helps the whole cry for attention thing.
This is not good.
Wow that's really ****** up. They are just so oblivious. This just shows that have no decency or care to listen or help at all. All they care about is the story and ratings. This honestly just reminded me of the movie "Nightcrawler" with Jake Gyllenhaal. It's a really good movie but also dark. Because people and companies like that exist. The proof is right there.
They are in it for the ratings
As far as they give a **** the more shootings happening the better the ratings and the more they can squeeze the controversy and the morbid curiosity of the public.
Just in folks,
The media will never not sensationalize and fan the flame and/or spread propaganda.
And you wanna know why?
Because the media is a for profit corporate machine earned by very large (and few) groups of mega corporations and they only give a **** about one thing: Profit.
High ratings, more viewers, more advertisements, and more money.
Because that's all they care about. And especially in places like here and America,
that's all that ever really mattered.
[end broadcast]
The same people who own the liberal media own the conservative media. It divides us, makes us point fingers at each other while they rape our economy, and give every dollar to support Zionism and Israeli Terrorists.
Pretty much, I remember recently some ****** got shot and right after reporting it CNN did a special on the N word and they said ****** like 80 times lmfao
We need to write into CNN, spam their twitter and all that stuff the internet is good at. Otherwise media will always will present these stories with view number/ratings as first priorities. God dam, just wish the shooter would go to a the anchor and who ever writes the script and see how the like propagating this kind of thing
I can easily understand 90% two seasons of "Rick and Morty". And "South Park". Movies are harder to understnd, so many times I need to make pasu, and repeat parts, which I don't understand. But this British accent is just horrible for me. Sounds like they have a toast in mouth.
I was listening to NPR and they actually quoted the police chief saying that they don't want to glorify the shooter by sharing his name AND THEN THE REPORTER SAID THE SHOOTER'S NAME!! What the **** ??
If I ran a country... I would have a program that provided every citizen with a basic firearm. all businesses, schools, hospitals, etc must have access to firearms to defend against attack. I'd also rather have murderers just strung up in public and let citizens deal with them as they please. Like the good ol' days.
I think that would be a fun society..But that's just me.
