You've probably heard it pronounced as yama kah.
User avatar #8 to #7 - jacencaedus (12/10/2013) [-]
it's the hat that Jewish men wear
User avatar #41 to #8 - bighairyfart (12/11/2013) [-]
I would never have thought it was spelled that way, isn't it pronounced 'Yah-muh-kah'?
#43 to #41 - FuckTheWhat (12/11/2013) [-]
Yes, you're thinking of the right word.

Is that a picture of your computer screen?
#47 to #45 - someoneforamoment (12/11/2013) [-]
I think it's a "Tee-Vee"
User avatar #48 to #47 - vixvaporrub (12/11/2013) [-]
Probably right. But that youtube bar made me wonder
#50 to #48 - someoneforamoment (12/11/2013) [-]
Maybe it's a youtube video of a recording of a tv.
User avatar #51 to #50 - vixvaporrub (12/11/2013) [-]
So many possibilities! But unless OP OC? responds we'll never truly know
#53 to #51 - someoneforamoment (12/11/2013) [-]
it has to be. the distortion of the characters (and the glare) indicates the picture was taken of something at an angle (anything other than a television screen is unlikely), yet the bar is perfectly straight and unblemished so it was obviously added later.
User avatar #72 to #53 - nickypickle (12/11/2013) [-]
you know what? let me solve this.

this is a screenshot cropping of a non fullscreen youtube page upload in which holds a video of a recording of a tv that projects the show. which is now posed on funnyjunk.
#58 to #53 - vixvaporrub (12/11/2013) [-]
Looks like I don't need the silent gorginhanson after all! Thank you fellow funnyjunker

Either way, OP went way out of his way to obtain this picture for the relevance to this topic and the 2 thumbs it has received.
User avatar #94 to #45 - gorginhanson (12/12/2013) [-]
no I got it from a youtube video
It was the only one so don't bitch about the quality

Must have been running the moneygraben.vg6. system
If you alter any part of the hard wear the system will put all its processing power into trying to reconnect with the system and all basic functionally is lost until either the system reboots or the hard drive is restored

When the new mall opened up in my town, I went with some of my friends. We were in s shoe store called Journeys or some **** and they had little panty hose socks that you put on while trying on shoes. I thought they looked like yarmulkas when they were all rolled up so I took a couple and went outside (it is an outside mall) and started asking everyone that walked by if they wanted to convert to Judaism and that they would get a free yarmulkas. The first person I asked, who was an old woman, said "I would love to, son, but I'm already a Jew." I said "Oh, shalom!" (which means "peace" in hebrew) I dont think I've ever thought on my feet so fast.
User avatar #74 to #56 - pwnedomega (12/11/2013) [-]
Jews don't convert people. The person has to ask, and they will always get denied the first three times
User avatar #75 to #74 - landerp (12/11/2013) [-]
I was 15 years old and wearing a panty hose sock on the top of my head. I didnt know **** about Judaism. I only knew the word shalom because of a song we had to learn for choir.
#83 to #75 - zekaizer (12/11/2013) [-]
YOU HAD TO LEARN THAT SONG, TOO!!?
User avatar #86 to #83 - landerp (12/11/2013) [-]
Shalom, chaverim,
Shalom, chaverim,
Shalom, shalom;
L'hitra'ot,
L'hitra'ot,
Shalom, shalom.
Shalom, o my friends,

Learned that **** like the back of my hand for the Christmas concert

Yeah, the guy who **** on his friend's head while standing above him though he never noticed, right?

Dude, no one cares that you were in the thread when it happened... You think it makes you sound awesome but it makes you sound pretentious and annoying.

Every time there's a 4chan post there's some dude with no life (except sitting on the internet all day) bragging about "being there when it happened".

Now, go make like this midget and go tackle some new adventures (OUTSIDE) headfirst.

That was a very minor part of my post, actually. I was requesting a specific part of that since (obviously) it 404'd.

Additionally, I probably have more of a life than most of this site's regular users.
#16 to #15 - veryspecialagent (12/11/2013) [-]
Ya, sorry that sounds a little more confrontational than I meant it to be. I realize what you were going for, but I was getting fed up.

It's just I've seen 4 4chan posts here today, and they all had someone saying they were there, and I just find it really annoying.

You were the straw that broke the camels back, bud, I apologize. That rant was more for all the people that do that.
User avatar #17 to #16 - Nullifier (12/11/2013) [-]
Makes sense, it annoys me too. But it's when that drives the entire post.

It always confused why it's pronounced yamaka considering it's spelled yarmulke. ******* Yarmulke
