The dark side only tempts people who can actually use the force.

"...the Force is everywhere and in everyone and everything..."
-Yoda

While the dark side tempts those that are force sensitive more strongly than it would a non-sensitive person, it still affects those that can't take advantage of it and can be felt in "evil/dark" individuals by those who are force sensitive.

You're right but you didn't need to try and support your science fiction argument with real logic, although I realise it was for metaphorical purposes.

After further research, there is not enough information to reinforce my claims, so I shall yield for now.

However, there isn't enough evidence to completely abolish them either. There is sources in non canon that support my claims but they are no longer canon, therefore I cannot use them. That being said, there is SOME information supporting what I said, but there isn't any actual examples of a sentient being succumbing to the seduction. There are however dark side nexuses that permeate throughout all living and non living things around them, corrupting them at the core. I'll submit an inquisition to the Star Wars team and see if they respond or not. I'll get back to you if they do.

Not much to disprove the idea that the makers of the force are secret gerbils who can not be tracked, are invisible, and can not be picked up by anything that could perceive anything. And cover their tracks perfectly.

Leia can use the force and does so at least twice in the original trilogy, and possibly another two times in episode VII.

.... when...
User avatar #70 to #68 - huntergriff ONLINE (01/07/2016) [-]
During episode V, when luke calls out to her through the force (Obi wan and yoda also imply she was the other and yoda confirms it as he's dying in the next episode)

During episode VI: Han says "I sure Luke wasn't on that thing when it blew", Leia replies "He wasn't, I can feel it."

During Episode VII: she could have possibly felt a "wound in the force" similar to what yoda felt during the start of the great jedi purge in episode III and what Obi-wan felt after the destruction of Alderaan in Episode IV after the destruction of Hosnian Prime.

Also during Episode VII: She felt a wound in the force as her son, Ben Solo aka Kylo Ren, murdered his father, Han Solo.

And of course there could possibly be other times that she uses the force inside of comics and stories from the people making the new canon.

Force sensitive simply means any individual who was attuned to the flow of the force, which allows said individual to use the force, whether it be on a subconscious level (like seeing the future through premonitions) or on a physical level (like choking someone through the force) .
User avatar #72 to #68 - mcderfenschmirt (01/07/2016) [-]

User avatar #19 to #14 - bertmacaroni (01/06/2016) [-]
But Leia is force sensitive, I'm pretty sure they allude to that a lot in the first trilogy as well as the Force Awakens. After a significant event happens (no spoilers), she literally feels it happening through the force. Luke's monologue even states "the force is strong in my family, I have it, my father had it, my sister has it..."
User avatar #24 to #19 - thechosentroll (01/06/2016) [-]
Doesn't mean she can USE the force consciously. Most sith are usually tempted by the dark side with the promise of power and hot redskinned bitches. But mostly power. If she has no real force powers, the dark side can't offer her additional power, which means it has nothing to tempt her with.

in the EU Leia wasn't THAT weak. she wasn't able to learn anything like force push or really augment her strength or speed. However she did learn battle meditation, which helped the fleet battles she participated in go in the favor of her side of the battle..

yes thank you but why do you think I put the EU is irrelevant
it doesnt matter in this context
#21 to #17 - marcx ONLINE (01/06/2016) [-]
eu isnt irrelevant as they still pull **** from it makign it canon. anything in teh eu at any point in time can be pulled, used, incorporrated into a book/game/movie/show and become canon.
This includes stuff from the star wars commander game as well. Thats how the stuff from teh book death troopers became canon at least a part of it.

So no matter what u cant discount the eu entireley just parts of it. like leia in theory is just as powerful in the force as luke is. They are twins. Thats is why when luke faces vader in Return of the jedi and he mentions her. Luke gets all mad cuz if vader got to leia there is a high possibility she could have been trained in the dark side and become just as powerful if not more powerful than vader/luke

In the eu though leia is a powerful jedi knight. she just doesnt have the natural affinity for learning random force stuff like luke does but luke also doesnt have her political skills. and she did start her proper jedi training way later than him
#26 to #21 - anon (01/06/2016) [-]
Up until the pieces of the EU are pulled into the movies it can be counted as irrelevant. The majority of the EU is cringe worthy fan fic ******** anyway.
#27 to #26 - marcx ONLINE (01/06/2016) [-]
can never truly discount it,as its part of teh legends timeline if you want to be technical.
also dont confuse fan fic bs to the EU. All teh eu books comics games are all controlled by lucas group. There was a **** ton of work to keep things together. You couldnt just make a story up and expect it to be apart of the EU.

There is a reason why there was a specific group in lucas group ment to keeping the timeline correct. retconning things that needed it and makign sure everythign stayed linked together. Plus any books that had any major changes (chewbacca died) had to get approval by the lucas group

Yupp, all Leia is doing is is running a small terrorist pod dedicated to bringing down the rulers of society, constantly attacking military bases, killing countless innocent in the name of "freedom", never specifying what that freedom entails, never even trying for a peaceful solution(unlike her mother, who tried for peace all the time, and got fugged over for it), and generally being an intergalactic terrorist. Hell, since Jedi is actually called a religion several times, you can argue she represents a religious terrorist group and not be entirely wrong(seeing as it is implied that only Jedi believe in the force any more, and Leia probably does, it's likely that most of her soldiers do as well, meaning that you can safely call them Jedi, even if they are not Jedi knights).

The dark side has no reason to tempt Leia, as she is already working for it, bit like that spacejew who owned Anakin in ep 1, why corrupt the corrupted?
