The pizzas are called "McPizzas". You can find these McDonalds at Pomeroy, Ohio and Spencer, West Virginia. It is mainly unpopular among the franchise because of the cook time for pizza. These are made in 11 minutes, which conflicts with conflicts with the idea of fast food.

Actually way more than 15 million, because of people that own more than one gun.
User avatar #142 to #82 - hydraetis (05/27/2015) [-]
Yea, probably actually around 100 million or more that have none.

Gotta say I like how you actually provide detail for the WTF facts. Actually makes them seem more realistic and not just another repost.

Thanks, I only put in an hour to make sure that everything was correct. It just seems lazy and cheap if I were to just copy and paste content from their site to my upload. A little extra work is worth it if it makes you guys happy.

310mil/325mil is over 95%. Is something wrong? Or am I missing something?
#41 to #7 - flupper (05/27/2015) [-]
Well I live in the south east and I don't know any gun owner who just has one. Most people who own guns have at least 4.
User avatar #42 to #41 - xplosevdiarrhea (05/27/2015) [-]
True, but that shouldn't affect this statistic, since in only considers total guns per total people. But that does point out how this is a bit misinformative. If you were to pick out 100 people randomly, you would find less than 88 to be armed. I wouldn't be surprised if that number would be less than 50, especially if you consider the number of guns that aren't owned by any one person. Like in the military or in a gun shop.
#43 to #42 - flupper (05/27/2015) [-]
Exactly. They would have to go by how many people out of 100 are registered gun owners versus just saying we have x amount of guns and people.
User avatar #44 to #43 - xplosevdiarrhea (05/27/2015) [-]
To an extent, but remember that this is comparing the US to other countries. So it's less important how you measure the difference as long as it is used consistently when comparing two nations. And since many countries probably don't keep track of gun owners, pure sales are a more reliable metric. It's also probably extremely accurate since countries that manufacture guns are very well developed and business like these have usually very good record keeping.

So it makes sense to chose this form of measurement. And while some people may misinterpret it, it is still interesting that there is (somewhat) nearly 1 gun/person in the US.
User avatar #69 to #7 - echotheambient (05/27/2015) [-]
Guns used for millitary/police purposes maybe?
User avatar #11 to #7 - wargod (05/27/2015) [-]
not exactly, the us census for 2014 yield 310 million people, while estimated for the amount of firearms in the us are between 270 and 310, and 270/310 is .87. But if the fact is recent, it could be accounting for an estimate of how many people are currently in the us

#8 to #7 - nicktrue [OP]ONLINE (05/27/2015) [-]
The census and gun ownership stats are from two separate sources, so there is bound to be conflicting information due to the fact that in the end, the numbers are estimates. Nobody goes around door to door counting guns. Have my favorite gif in response to bad info

#53 - angelusprimus (05/27/2015) [-]
If also uses far less land since its growing in stacks of ten.
But most amazingly even though its grown under electric light, it uses less ENERGY than growing it in fields. Because its lighted with LEDs which don't use my energy, and it doesn't need land cultivation which means no tractors, so it doesn't burn any fossile fuel.
You can also grow tomatoes, cucumbers, bellpepper and strawberries in the same way. Other vegetables too.
And since you are doing it in the city, transport costs are smaller and use less energy.
Great way to provide fresh vegetables to the cities, and free up land to grow more grain.
User avatar #75 to #53 - viscerys ONLINE (05/27/2015) [-]
So why the **** aren't these all over the world? There has to be some teleporting bread style drawbacks, or else we as a species are stupider than I thought.
User avatar #104 to #75 - angelusprimus (05/27/2015) [-]
Several reasons
1: Big start up costs. You build them in the cities, which means you need to get a property in the city or near it that is large enough and has utilities good enough. Usually in industrial areas. And second all the equipment costs money.
2: Company that made it invented quite a bit of technology to run it. So you'd also have to get the rights.

Good news is, they are getting built, more and more. This type and similar types. Its all just pretty new and it will take a while to really show itself.
But since they are making a killing, I doubt it will be very long.
User avatar #79 to #75 - vgmddg (05/27/2015) [-]
Costs to build/maintain maybe? Angry farmers? Just not well known enough? I dunno. Humans are also often very stuck in tradition too.

At least 8 years but probably more. Can't account for nation wide popularity but in my area they were very popular. The focus was more on the personal sized ones though. Most kids would get those instead of the classic happy meal.
