Can somebody explain Horde vs. Alliance real quick for me? I'm trying to get into the game and I just can't pick a side, or a race, or a class, it's really hard for me
Both are fun, pick whatever race you want. If you want to pvp humans have a lsight edge but thats about it. Add me if you want, been playing since 06. Battletag: Catfish#1842
how do humans have an edge in pvp when undead literally have the same racial edge. Orc have enrage which is more dmg and trolls have zerking which is haste, those are the better edge.
cause its not the same racial edge (crikey man, read the abilities)
orcs and trolls cant compete with free human trinket cause human characters then get to buy both use and proc trinkets which will do more damage than those racials
basically do you want to be a wolf furry wyrgen or a cow furry tauren , a midget gnome or a green midget goblin , a purple elf night elf or a human colored elf blood elf , a alien dranei or a zombie forsaken , a short stocky dude dwarf a lean tall dude with tusk troll , or a human or a green human with a big mouth orc . Also panda furries go both ways.
Horde is mainly people complaining that Alliance are angsty 13 year olds
Alliance is mainly people complaining that Horde are angsty 13 year olds.
There is no difference except aesthetic. People will argue but for a new player the difference is whichever you like more. From a lore perspective the Alliance lore tends to be a little bit deeper but the Horde lore seems to be a bit more directly impacting events currently, a history vs future thing if you want.
If you want someone to ask questions you think are stupid to feel free to add me on BattleTag, Saxong#1219, been playing since '08
In all honestly, horde is a savage, tribaly barbarian like group with a hardon for spikes, Alliance is a proud, noble faction, with massive stone cities. They have a hardon for the knight in armor type of thing.
Horde has brutish bulky races, like a minotaur race, stereotypical orcs (who are corrupted by demon juice), goblins, and trolls.
Alliance has noble, and "rightous" races, such as humans, dwarves, gnomes, night elves, and draenei (odd alien creatures who have a hardon for "the light")
Its pretty much this, Life was normal until a certain magic dark portal opened and started spilling out the orcs, (who came from a now shattered world). They were a massive problem for the world causing problems for nearly every race that wasnt troll or orc. Thus one thing lead to another after cities were torched, and other destructive **** went down the alliance in a very primitive state was formed to combat the hordes (hue).
Eventully the orcs needing allies rolled up to the trolls and said, get in losers were going pillaging. The orcs got in over their head and got their **** kicked in, and some of them were driven back through the portal with the alliance hot on their ass ready to give them an ass whooping afraid that they would come back with more orcs. They set up camp at the base of the portal to protect it until it could be destroyed. Eventully alliance soldiers bought their archmages, khadgar (possibly the strongest mage in existance) to blow it the **** up and much of their homeworld with it. During that whole last fight a bunch of orcs slipped through the portal back into the main world, azeroth. A lot of them still proved to be ******* annoying and problematic and were placed into interment camps when caught. Eventully after they escaped they were told by a mysterious man called prophet mediv told them to sail far west to a forgotten continent where they met the tauren and allied with them. Soon after they found a desert and called it durotar and founded their now main city orgrimar. The humans by this time had their main city, stormwind back under control and settled once again. Setting up the events for the game itself.
I could go more indepth with each race, but this is the skinny BEFORE the actual game starts story wise. which is terrifying.
Happens a lot. However, it seems to be a lot of talk about Legion and how people will jump ship over to horde again. Everyone gets human racial trinket in pvp and so being a Blood Elf seems to be strategically better. High level players don't play factions because they like them more, they play them because the racials are better.
although it is getting nerfed, the alliance racials are still better in most ways for pvp, exculding human even. so most glad players are going to stick to alliance still.
I actually hear the opposite. A lot of players I hear are changing to Blood Elves due to the silence. I guess Dwarves are still playable but who knows. I am expecting a bunch of high level players to change factions.
well i main a druid on wow and for pvp im usually around 2k (for rbgs atleast) so i wouldn't say im high. i play horde and alliance, i have friends on horde with whom i raid and do pvp with, and then on alliance i only pvp. most of the players i know and play with on alliance are sticking alliance, and a couple horde friends are switching. because for horde currently you have the blood elf racial yes, but if you want to seriously pvp at the moment, you mostly run a undead for the racials. now in legion the human racial only will negate stuns, but in my eyes that is still more effective than fears and the like, because if you are running with good people fears don't mean anything. and the silence for blood elves is 2 seconds, with a 1.5 minut cd, which in a 10 minute arena can get a couple uses, but seeing as you have to run next to them to use it, many ranged classes are put at a disadvantage if they have to get near the enemy melee, and the healers can see it coming(because a ranged person only charges the healer to cc in most cases). so all in all, im going to be sticking alliance for pvp and horde for pve, and i am sorry for the wall of text, but those are some reasons and examples to why i think pvp is still going to be tipped towards the alliance.
I see what you're saying but I am only gathering this info I said via streamers I watch. x.x So I am probably wrong??? I don't know besides the glad 3k people I watch on twitch (though its only 3 of them but they said their friends will join them). I am 100 percent sure they will continue to play other factions/races because leveling is stupid easy but they said their mains would be horde.
A lot of casual players try to not switch (I ******* won't be that costs muni I dont have), plus they won't want to leave their friends. Glads usually move w/ friends so they have freedom.
I only get my info from streamers that are 3k. Its a very small pool but because their friends say they'll join too I assume its a growing thing that the glads/pro players will be horde due to human nerf. I REALLY hope undeads are going to be more popular though but you got to admit, melee blood elfs are ******* gross. Healer's bane of existence.
yes but that is when the blood elf racial will become most effective, in melee, and with the release of the demon hunter, whose only horde race is blood elf, it will be very effective. my warrior on the horde side was blood elf back in mists, because when i used blood storm i would silence them with the racial just before casting it. so i can see it is going to be put to great use, i just personally have trouble seeing it instantly boosting the horde ahead pvp wise, it sure will close the gap a little, but most of the time when humans use their racial it is for stuns anyway, because alot of classes have stuff for fears and the like.
Oh by no means do I mean they will get a faction advantage but to close the gap like you said... I completely forgot about demon hunters. Omggg so hyped. I think Dwarves will be more popular than humans tbh. Stoneform is so gud!!!
******* ALLIANCE GET OUT OF MY FOREST
LOKTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR
Always played alliance because of dem draenei juicy butts but never disdained horde...
One day I decided to level a tauren shaman and as soon as I entered my first dungeon, my party members started an alliance hate circlejerk that lasted all the way.
Not like I mind at all, but why do hordies do this? They're the only ones who actually care that much about their videogame faction.
It varies from servers. Alliance on my server are more high strung edge tards where Horde is more relaxed and don't care. I think it also depends if its heavy horde or alliance. If its heavy horde, chances are that they have a lot of alli characters so they won't bash on their horde faction while playing alliance. Least thats how it works on my server (heavy alliance but a lot of them play horde too).
Yeh you right, a faction led by a genocidal race of Green retards is quite likeable, too true my friend.
Don't just make stupid blanket statements, Horde was 'interesting' in WC2 and WC3, but since WoW they've been so ungodly boring. I have no idea how any Horde players can really handle the Sylvanas circle jerk.
Spent my whole WoW career on PvP servers, always on the Alliance side.
After getting ganked 100+ times while leveling, you'll slowly start to dislike the other faction ;)
Also, i'm really into the Lore of the game. And the lore of the Alliance is 10x better ;)
The people with the most hate of one faction are often those who come from said faction and most of the time were involved in being the ****** part of said faction.
That said, those idiots populate both factions.
FOR THE WHO ******* CARES WHAT FACTION YOU PICKED, I've been on both and they're equally terrible in terms of the people who play.
"Well i went into a BG and my team (horde/alliance) always loses! NYUH"
I'd say it also depends on the server.
I've played on both Alliance and Horde on a single server.
And the Alliance was filled with more ************ kiddies than the Horde.
Then again I know stories from people who say it was the other way around for them.
Maining Horde now, but I do have a soft spot for both sides, I used to be Alliance. Definitely prefer Horde leadership though, Lor'Themar is my favorite racial leader.
Pic related, just a usual day of raiding with my guild. We are all completely normal, sane people. Honest.
