******

the studio pair are decent, but they are overprized as ****

you could get better/as good headset for half the prize(Sennheiser HD WEST, for example, ot Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro - which a 10 000 hz higher frequency range)

grab some cans made by a real manufacturer, like AKG, Sennheiser, Audio-Technica, etc...

Actually, With apple devices you pay for the selection of the App store which is selective in what it allows to be distributed, keeping you from any harmful apps, and you also pay for the advanced hardware, which is SO much better than most modern phones/tablets.

Since you REALLY want to start this, here are the reasons I hate my iPhone:

*Maps - STILL terrible. I use maps every day and every day it makes me miserable.
*Music - must use proprietary software. Can't DL from web or torrent.
*Phone Book - Can't search contacts/missed calls/incoming/outgoing calls all at once by number, doesn't hold enough previous calls
*Responsiveness - Maybe it's because of my callouses, but the screen does not respond to my fingers. I have to touch most things 2 or 3 times to get them to work. My droid never had a problem. Don't care that they say that it has "55ms response time versus 114ms response time for S4." That only matters once the screen detects touch. If it can't detect my touch, it's a worthless number.
Now lets talk Ethics and Morality.
*Railroading - I hate being told how to use my stuff.
*Commercialism - Do you see people camping on the street to buy androids? No. As someone who hates commercialism, I can't buy into the "lifestyle" they promote, just like Starbucks.
*Mistreatment of Chinese Manufacturing workers - As recently as July 29th accusations against Apple and how they treat their people are all over the news.

You can throw reviews and statistics and numbers at me till you turn blue, but in the end, a product should be reviewed on how well it performs, not because of its numbers or hardware- in this case, the iPhone does NOT deliver the things I need a smartphone to deliver. I don't care about the "Retina Display" (which in reality, the S4 has 35% greater pixel density). I do not care that it is a little bit faster - that means that it can underperform EVEN FASTER than the iPhone 5. Great. Tools make work easier. Toys are fun to play with. The only reason I have a smart phone is because of work. This phone actually makes work frustrating. Therefore, it is not a tool, it is a toy, But hey, it looks pretty.

Maps - Google apps exist on the App Store.
Music - Ifunbox allows music import into the device, torrented or DLed.
Phone Book - You need to search a year back or something?
Responsiveness - Never had this issue. Probably is that.
RR - That's your problem.
Commercialism - I have to give you this one, I despise people that camp out at apple stores for a new phone. Perfect target for acquiring more than 1000 Dollars.
Mistreat - Other phone companies do this too, but since apple is big and strong, people publicize them more.

If you want a work phone, You have your fun with that. As you know, IOS devices are based on entertainment rather than working.

Why would I want to download an app for something most other smartphones already have the ability to do without an app... I've noticed the phone book as well, I actually have two cellphones (I was under contract with a phone company and I wanted a smartphone, and to hop service providers, it was 20$ a month for 3 months overlapping, I figured it was worth keeping it rather than hassle of opting out of my contract) but my ******** Flight 2 has a calls further back than my iPhone did. (my friend gave me his Note 3 he broke the screen on that I invested in fixing) I don't see how not wanting to be told what to do is a problem though? I want some freedom with my phone to do what I actually want with it. I really do like the new finger scanners on the new 5S's though, that's really the only way I way I see it superior than most other top-line smartphones, and if I had a guess, we'll start seeing it become an extremely common thing.

If you've used the google maps app and compared it to the integrated map in an android, you will find that it does not have the functionality that it has on Android.

my phone has 9 days worth of calls, which is not much. I do a lot of calling on my phone. Android has a system in which you type numbers in the keypad and, just like when using predictive text on a 10 key, it will bring up names AND numbers containing the numbers you typed (example: 269 will bring up "Amy" as well as any phone number that has all three of those numbers, whether sequential or not. it's incredibly easy to search numbers with that when you make and receive calls and there is no name attached to the number)

also, to send multiple pictures, you have to start in the pictures app. You can't be in messages or email first because you can only attach one at a time. this is a gigantic flaw.

You are quite right, iPhones do not work at all.

It's the Mac effect.

Yes, they're good. But there are many other products out there that are just as good or better at better prices. Beats is all about branding a decent product in order to pull in a ridiculous margin.

Beats sound quality is ok, its just that given the price they should be A LOT better. You could get better sound quality from a 50$ pair of sennheisers. It's not hating on popularity, its simply a matter of beats being a fashion brand as opposed to quality. But hey, whatever works for ya

as someone who worked as a sound technician, i can tell you that the quality you get from beats is sub par for the price you would pay. They have good bass, and that is it. People now here low bass and assume that means good audio quality even though it doesnt. They have horrid frequency response compared to other brands in their price range, and the majority of them cant be used for any kind of audio work. When your beats break, I recommend picking up some senheisser ones, or v-moda. especially the v-moda ones because those things are indestructible

Doing some DJing, I feel like Beats lack sound isolation, as well as use cheap and extremely breakable materials. Sound quality doesn't matter as much to me. I'd rather get some rugged ones for half the price.
