trollerfin (01/05/2016) [-] If I remember correctly from my history classes while attacking USSR Finland said to rest of the world "Look we are totally NOT attacking with these German guys, we are attacking separately, at the same time, against the same target, with gear supplied by the Germans. But we are totally attacking separately".

angelious (01/05/2016) [-] pretty much. finnish president (mannerheim) also promised to not make a seperate peace with russia during the war.
then he resigned and the guy who took over his place (i think he was namened ryti,..not sure) signed the seperate peace. after that we also had a short war with nazies called lappish war, which ended up with germanny razing every lappish city into the ground and laying down landmines all across northern finland, then we had a short arms hiding operation that ended up with over a dozen people getting arrested for it but in the end saved us from becoming a puppet state for soviet union.
all in all a good few years.
