No matter how advanced their technology would be, I don't think that's possible.

What if some aliens found your remains and used you as an afrodisiac?

"And the "humans"...."

Are they referring to aliens?

yfw your ashes land on a barren planet and the microorganisms in your ashes give life than that life and they elvolve to the point where they have the technology to space travel and time travel, than thair sun dies so they have to go back in time and find a new planet to populate. they go back in time accidentally stumble upon earth and invade it and slave everyone, and take over therefor causing a paradox and you never being born because they killed your grand grand grand grand father and the whole universe glitches out and shuts down..

someone get Stephan moffat on the phone, i gotta tell him about this movie i just wrote

You actually orbit the earth for about 5 years before burning up in the atmosphere.

Escape velocity on the solar system is something like 14000m/s

Aliens...the word you are looking for is aliens.

"Humans"
Can't you just say aliens or native life?

Beside how impossible this is, if executed correctly, this could make a killer science fiction story.
User avatar #60 - therockofshame (07/28/2014) [-]
I would watch that show.

You'd be dead by the time you reached a planet that could support human life.

duh? the post was talking about sending ashes (already dead people) into space.

Yes, rebuilding cremated remains. Totally possible with even the most advanced tech

Actually, that's what I would want done with my remains: cremated and launched into space. 12500 $ is an acceptable price to me.
Good to know that this is possible.

I have no idea if its possible, but what if your remains landed in a planet's primordial soup and started an entire planet filled that was spawned off your remains. My logical side says that's stupid and impossible though.

Sweet
