slendercam (12/18/2015) [-] Dude, when I say I've applied everywhere I mean it. I don't have a car, so I'm limited to a smaller area, but I've gone over the entire area with a fine tooth comb applying to every restaurant, grocery store, bakery, and deli around here. The bigger problem is the fact that most of the diners, and mom and pop restaurants don't like hiring culinary students. Most people view them as stuck up snobs who are going to sit around flaunting their fancy education over everyone. My last line job, my boss took a chance on me, but they hadn't hired a culinary student in almost a year just because they come in, snob around for a few days, and then quit because they feel like they're above working a fryer. I've witnessed it in person too many times to count.
