In addition to the health applications, fire-cupping is also done at fetish play parties often. Just another form of sensation play, can actually be a lot of fun.

Well from for the Chinese (I'm Chinese) it's a way to draw up the bad blood (diseased blood due to cold virus and what not) up to the surface of your skin. It can also be used to relieve fevers. It helps the blood get to the surface of the skin where the heat is exchanged. It works but it also does hurt a bit (mild discomfort).

I hope those white things in the first picture are bits of tissue paper, for whatever reason.

...Just looks like giant cysts being popped

They are bits of paper. To get the jars to stick, the small piece of paper is lit on fire and dropped inside. While it's pressed to the skin, the fire consumes the oxygen causing the suction and the fire to go out.

A candle I think. I believe they light the candle and then put it against your skin and when the lack of oxyogen snuffs the candle the cooling air causes suction

ive always wondered about this...

how does it feel?
User avatar #39 to #36 - mrnpc (03/21/2014) [-]
It hurts, at first at least. Your forcing all of tat blood, fat, and muscle into a small part of the skin, which stretches it. trust me, it hurts. Fortunately, the skin is a very stretchy material and will stop hurting after a little bit, assuming you're nutter butters enough to leave them on that long. Also, taking them off will hurt like hell. And so will anyone giving you a pat on the back while celebrating the size of you balls.
