cutting out grains completely isn't great for your body. you need those carbohydrates to function right. the body needs that energy source.

The food pyramid is ******** . I think it may have been constructed by some milk company to further enhance their political power. All of the food except for the very top are healthy! Including the ******* carbs! The only foods or nutrients to avoid are simple carbs (though it's good for post-workouts), refined sugars and transfats.

it's not about cutting certain foods out to lose weight, it's all about calorie intake being superseded by calories burned.

Calories burned>calories eaten= WEIGHT LOSS

i can eat potato chips all day and if i ate less than i burned, i'd lose weight (although i'd pretty much still be unhealthy for just eating that. haha)

You don't need it. Carbs are important, but you get carbs from dairy, vegetables, and fruit just fine.
