Note: i am unsure if the word 'nationalist' is used correctly. If not then 'nationalist pride' or 'pride for their nation' is what i meant to write.

Also, injuring a soldier and then shooting their comrades as they come to help them is not exactly a novel new idea. It was used commonly by German snipers during WWII.
The White Tights urban legend didn't originate until the 1980's

the fact she was using a standard russian AK47 without scope as a sniper weapon

so many americans like to bleat the AK is ' ***** and they even had R Lee Ermey do a firearm show comparing an AK47 with an m1 carbine
they went full propaganda getting a chinese copy that was inaccurate as **** and could only fire short bursts and claimed thats what the russian gun was like

they forget back in the war some american troops ditched their ****** jamming carbines and took ak's because they were more reliable and with better stopping power

Yeah the m16's were **** in Vietnam. They wouldn't eject the empty shells and they either had to spend the time in the middle of a damn fire fight to find something to shove down the end of the barrel to push it out or find something else to shoot with which is way smarter than sitting there like a damn bullseye.

Then the military was just like aww it's fine don't worry the m16 is the best gun we have.

yeah i read up they built the M16 a bit different and gave the wrong ammo type for it, hence the jamming

kinda funny things
the AK was shorter, lighter, and you could put it through lal kinds of **** and it would still fire
hell on a gun specialists show i saw, they pretty much summed it up as "you could tie a bunch of shoe laces together, coat them in gun oil, drag that though the barrel, thats pretty much all you needed to do to maintain it"

Balaika, from Black Lagoon. A former female sniper in the Spetznaz who was going to go to the 1984 Olympics as a Extreme Range Marksman before being forced instead into fighting in the Afghanistan-Russian conflict. On a side note, Balaika is a instrument, and Russian slang for a Druganov long range rifle.

This one was probably just a slip, they rarely malfunction so the number of working is to high to count vs the number that are broken. You can run them over, bend the barrel, nearly demolish them and they'll still work.
