**** just fell apart after the attitude era. Don't get me wrong, they had their stupid **** , too, but the were more epic fights, the shows were unpredictable, and the characters were so much better. They weren't afraid of offending anybody. Now they can't even cuss.
Not to mention matches not ending with interference and DQ which tried to make sure both wrestlers try to look strong but end up ruining the match itself.
I personally prefer the Ruthless Aggression Era, but you gotta remember that WWE is now a publicly traded company now. **** sucks, but keep waiting till it hits the lowest ratings again like it did consecutively last year.
Not...really. I admit things were more epic then and they took more risks but the gimmicks and the drama was so...over the top and dumb.
"Taker! This is the brother you let rot in the fire!"
The Invasion Angle
Triple H pretty much in general; kidnapping, necrophilia, burying everyone, etc.
I think people have too much of a negative outlook as it is not the same as when they grew up and it is in a new direction. Don't get me wrong, lately they have been ******* up HARD, but don't let 2015 speak for everything after the attitude era.
I agree, if you look at it history repeats itself, in the 80's WWF was ruled by "superheroes" like Hogan. In the last decade we have had the same thing with Cena. What needs to happen is there needs to be a WCW like rival again, whether it be TNA or ROH or something new, but the end needs to be the same, it needs to push the WWE to change like it did 20 years ago.
NXT, even though it's WWE property, it's been out showing WWE by a mile, they're so good they just got multiple NJPW guys (most likely thanks to Balor), AJ Styles, Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows.
