I love the big health food store in our town. It may be expensive, but the food is crazy good, and the fit chicks there man, the fit chicks.
User avatar #28 to #15 - majordraco (03/13/2014) [-]
Those fit hair hippy chicks, maybe it's just my hippie town, but I can't stand the dreads and smelly hair girls.

Not everyone with dreads suck at having dreads.

I live in Poland. If you ask me, vodka is the anti-definition of "rich" and "woman". It's a way-too-common poor man's alcohol.

Shiiiiiet... I can't enjoy any alcoholic beverage that's more than 20 or so percent alcohol, it just tastes like **** to me. Be it vodka, whiskey, tequila, or else. I just drink it to get drunk quickly and stay that way.

What makes me lol is that every single - Oh and I mean EVERY - bandwagon or meme or running gag on this site goes through the same damn cycle. Posted around a bit, people find it funny, posted more and more, thumbs up everywhere, and then one comment on one post will say something along the lines of "this thing is crap. Stop liking this thing. You are dumb for liking this thing." and they get top comment and the bandwagon comes to a screeching halt because no one wants to be the dumb person liking the dumb thing. And that's completely ok, if a little stupid, because it's just the cycle of FJ trends.
User avatar #37 to #26 - ljxjlos (03/13/2014) [-]
That´s how bandwagons work, it´s not a new thing. The difference is that I disliked this **** from the beginning. If I wasn´t too lazy, I could run through my comments and show you some where I said the same thing 2 years ago.D

I agree that the excessive amount of Ron posts makes the character seem to straightforward. If you watch the show (Parks and recs) you'll find that his character is actually pretty complex and original
User avatar #59 to #2 - applesdontpee (03/13/2014) [-]
it's interesting because, in the show, he's not as obnoxious. people just like trumpeting this stuff a lot more.
#3 to #2 - John Cena (03/12/2014) [-]
You know what, I actually agree with you. If he was a real person that I had to work with, I'd hate his guts.

cmon man its a comedy show, their supposed to be unrealistic and not necessarily likable, but simply funny.
User avatar #30 to #2 - mienkampf (03/13/2014) [-]
I understand what you mean, this character is always used on the internet this way so it can get VERY annoying... He's used as an icon for the "American" way to be. Manly, doesn't believe in government, BACON, and **** ... The show uses it as form of criticism had to google that word! Parks and Rec
#24 to #2 - icespine (03/13/2014) [-]
i think the pointof the show is supposed to be a highly conservative man, but i see exactly what you mean, it pisses me off too how people find his bacon and manly man stuff funny

Nah I think the content itself is funny enough. He's a caricature after all.

Who I find annoying are the people who comment and say "Yeah! Bacon~master~race~reporting~in!" and "If you can't grow a beard then you aren't a man/you look like a baby".

But seriously screw hippies. They're weird and should be made fun of. Just like everyone; everyone gets their turn as the pinata.

Hunger problems can be solved without them.
Go find better fallacies. There's still plenty without people pretending there are more.
User avatar #55 to #41 - DrollHumor (03/13/2014) [-]
World Hunger isn't a matter of quantity or even quality. Starving people just don't have a McDonalds on every street corner.

Also GMOs have copyrights so when big corporations find their crop growing in a family farmer's field, via wind blowing seeds around like it's supposed to, they sue the hell out of the farmer. It's ******** .

Does having long hair that's tied back count as being a hippy? I mean, I like my hair like that and apparently I look decent in it. Other than that, I'm well groomed and wear clothes suitable for modern society.
#57 to #53 - BraindeadBuddha (03/13/2014) [-]
Not really no, being a Hippie is more a state of mentality than a fashion choice.

I've met people who looked like they lived in a caravan with 5 others and regularly had orgies with them on beds made of weed, who had never even been to a small two-day festival.
And I've met people who looked like they were on the road to becoming an accountant, who were in fact incredibly politically active and who smoked almost as much weed as Snoop.

But people might still judge you on your appearance, and some might believe long hair is Hippie-ish. Others might think you're really into metal.
