collectors edition, on scale for the Lego figurines, Lego does not produce it anymore but you can buy it online for only roughly 2k-3k dollars..
#33 - wilicious (16 hours ago) [-]
I'd kill to have that model OP, this is what I have to play with.
User avatar #47 to #33 - rumpledforeskin (14 hours ago) [-]
show us how you made it step by step
#52 to #47 - wilicious (14 hours ago) [-]
Step-by-step is a little excessive for such a small model. From the picture it's quite obvious how it's done and which pieces are used, the only kind of weird pieces are the sloped dark-gray pieces making up the sides. The right side is shown from above because it's identical to the left side, except the cockpit that's replace with a 2x1 thingy (don't know what they're called)

It's a total of 20 pieces, the black mid-section also has a 2x1 under it to give it some height.
User avatar #53 to #52 - rumpledforeskin (14 hours ago) [-]
will buy the pieces and build this, maybe if i can make myself justify buying the collectors edition death star i can put it next to that, would look cool.
thanks fellowjunker

this is art. the falcon reduced to its most basic shape, fewest parts possible, yet recognizeable.
#59 to #36 - guanyu (11 hours ago) [-]
I like that idea.

"That'll be $40"
User avatar #4 - warioteam (01/10/2016) [-]
i dunno, as a kid i think i prefered small sets over model sets because they were to actually play with
i guess i was a playful type more than a displayer type
User avatar #18 to #4 - iamnotgoodwithname (23 hours ago) [-]
as a kid thats understandable
but when you get older, you like to make something massive just to stare at it and say "yea i built that"
User avatar #8 to #4 - maxismahname (01/11/2016) [-]
My favorite part was building
User avatar #26 to #8 - raskullquake ONLINE (19 hours ago) [-]
I always got a Lego as a christmas present. I used to build them and tear them appart several times till i grew tired of the thing and placed it on display. Building lego is one of the most comforting and chill things you can do, similar to assmbling a puzzle.
User avatar #60 to #26 - maxismahname (10 hours ago) [-]
I love seeing it come together and making it look like the instructions. Just seeing the separate built parts come together. When I was younger I always fantasized about being grown up and buying legos for myself. Honestly I still wanna do that.

I remember correctly the mini series are only $7.99-$9.99 kinda fair in my opinion. They make for good desk knick-knacks.
