im gonna go ahead and answer some of the most common questions.
weight: not an expert, but thats probably around 50kg, ~110 pounds.
the exercise she is doing is probably a snatch, clean, and jerk, by how wide her grip is. no /real/ way to tell, since this is just her putting down the weight rather than doing the exercise.
is this a lot? not really. its probably more than 70% of people here can do. lots of people can do way more than this without ever touching a barbell. lots of people take weeks of training to get to her point.
why slam weight? because there is no /safe/ way to put it down other than dropping it. everything puts pressure on the spine and lower back muscles. you /can/ drop it on your knees, and then drop it to the floor, but that **** hurts after a while. the weight is covered in rubber, and so is the floor. it does not cause damage. due to the fact that the plate is covered in rubber and the floor is as well, it is reasonable to assume that the noise of falling weight is expected in her gym, and not frowned upon.
judging by her arm length and width it's pretty obviously a snatch. Can't think of anybody who jerks that wide except for the South Americans (more specifically those lanky ass Colombians)
Judging from the colours of the plates (also the ones in the background), I'd say they're 15kg plates.
It's common that 5kg plates are white, 10kg plates are green, 15kg plates are yellow, 20kg plates are blue, and 25kg plates are red. The width of the plates doesn't change much from one step to the next, and, depending on the material they're made of, they can be pretty much the same size.
It's hard to judge the bounce, since that depends not only on weight, but material of plates and floor/platform.
I'm no expert either, but I've lifted weights regularly since 2012. This could easily be 50kg
Some gyms ban dropping weights and loud noises. My family owns a gym and our competition does this. We have lots of powerlifters for this reason. Works out nicely. They're actually nice people. Most of them respect the equipment more than the regular members.
