It's no longer fun, since they are making retarded laws getting passed, like the "primary aggressor" ******** tick-list for domestic violence perpetrator determination, which is the male 99% of the time, due to men being on average taller, stronger and masculine. They also passed some sanction based laws about mis-gendering people, if it's a government employer.
you havent met my cousin. Literally an SJW in phase 1. He blames white people for **** , antagonizes anyone white just to do it, and tries to spread it to my parents. But I told my parents about all that **** and luckily they don't give in to it. Like he was trying to explain "White Privilege" to my mother and she looked at him like he was a nut case. And the anon is right, they mostly reside on college campuses. Also him trying to explain "genders" and pronouns was kinda funny because it's as ridiculous as it sounds. Then he was trying to say that we aren't as exposed to it thats why we don't know about it as much
Honestly I've never seen anything even close to this in real life, which is rather disappointing. I reckon the whole SJW thing is blown hugely out of proportion on the internet.
They posted on Tumblr that 2016 is the year of the gay and so straight people should step aside.
We're also friends. They know I'm straight. It's kind of annoying. They also spam Steven Universe and Undertale constantly
I bet they're just livid about he changes to the recent SU episode. Glad to see that the ones constantly offended and wanting everything censored are seeing the fruits of that labor.
They removed a scene in which two female characters dance in what was interperted as being intimate. Well, they modified it. Feminists lost thier **** because "Muh Queer Identity is being erased!"
Yea, they changed that part and now its being yelled that it was censored. I say **** um. They asked for this. Besides the show is aimed at kids primarily (its on Cartoon Network) so intimacy is kinda on the slate for being told "no". Anyone remember why Invader Zim isnt on anymore?
Dude, I don't even know anymore. I'm gay, myself, and know better than to straight up publicly do anything. It's just not acceptable and that's that. Even so, I just went to look at the differences.... they feel minor. Like both sides are just being irrational.
Oh I know. Straight white male (so basically the devil). I just feel like they've created this climate of watching everything that you say, just the other day they were talking about how games werent being censored with removed stuff, they were being "localized". But now that its something they like, something they want, now its censorship.
Oh, I know! It's ridiculous. It's not like people can't watch the original online, and... well... you're quite literally missing nothing important if you don't. It's not like they took two lovers and said "they're just best friends!" because SU is never really implicitly stating they're female muh pronouns and never openly calling anything a relationship.
Sure, anyone with a brain can see it's a lot of clumsy fantasy renaming to make homosexuality more acceptable in the media, but.... really... again... who cares? You don't need media characters to feel like you matter based on something as minor as your sexuality.
I totally agree. Honestly I think that real equality is when people stop talking about it. Get to an equal point (we've made some great steps, even lately) but it'll be nice when it gets quiet.
Until then its middle/upper class people telling other people how terrible they are based on gender, race, and sexuality.
If a scene where a male and female were dancing like that, I'll bet it'd be "censored" too.
SU has gotten away with so much that i severely doubt a near-kiss being censored would have anything to do with lesbians.
The point is that SJW types don't actually have any real impact on real world events outside the internet. Nor does anyone take any of the ideas seriously because believe it or not, people aren't that stupid.
You are such a good friend. You don't let there fandom's annoy you. I had a friend who used to spam that rice and cabbage ***** on my Facebook so I blocked her . not because it was gay , because it was nasty
One time at my uni, someone put up signs near the toilets saying that they were nongendered and that anyone could use them, "regardless of gender identity". The staff were having none of it, and took all the signs down within the day.
and i never understand it, like how hard headed do you have to be to just blame white men for your issues.? Im puerto rican and filipino and i'm going to college abliet with a bit of debt but so long as i work hard and know/meet the right people, i should be fine later in life. The white man doesn't hold me down.
I know a girl while she never does anything as bad as this, she does use the word triggered in her every day language.
For instance someone might make a women belong in the kitchen joke, and she'll just go "Triggered" then walk away
The only thing even kind of close that I've encountered in the outernet is a friend's little sister, 19 yo or so. It's not just racism or sexism stuff though, she's just easily offended in general. She starts crying at the drop of a hat, so most people joke about her, but take it easy if she's around. Not too easy though, she gets roasted on the regular.
Live on the same street as two grossly overweight ugly SJW sisters. One is "asexual" the other is "pan sexual" . They call everything sexist and talk like Microsoft Sam viewing the entire history of Reddit, thankfully they dress boyish so sweat stained hoodies and mercifully baggy jeans rather than miniskirts and vest tops. Remember them being a little weird back in school and never dating anyone. Tbh i think they are probably ******* eachother.
They don't really go public with it with normies cause they know they'll get btfo,so they slide undertones and try to change people through conditioning.
Nah, a good majority of my old friends from highschool went full on SJW after graduating. The change wasn't even subtle or anything, one day they were chill and then the next they were claiming everything men did was in support of the patriarchy and rape culture. This **** does happen in real life, it's just doesn't get spread around as much as what happens on the internet.
Honestly though. The only time I've seen somebody mention "Trigger Warnings" is when my history teacher ranted about how our generation are pussys for needing them.
