Peace among worlds, Admin.

I'd rather not come here than turn off my adblock. Not trying to be edgy or anything, that's just the way it is. I'm not turning my adblock off for any site.

Same, and look at the color of my name.

it seems he got rid of the ads that were setting off most virus protections and the ads that were playing loud ass music in the back ground so there's no reason for that any more.

Just yesterday i got a malware warning that played a woman warning me from it.
It was annoying because it wouldn't go away unless i closed chrome, it was the first time this month, so i'll let it slide for now

nice try admin. u can **** off not paying a dime to your ****** website.

He's said that twice before and he's been wrong twice before. It's either adblock on, or I'll go to another site that doesn't want to give me viruses.

That's just what adware and viruses would say to get us to turn it off! I'm onto you god dammit!

Except ad-networks still aren't safe from being used to spread malware.
Also, the only reason you really need to block ads is the fact that they're almost all trackers. I don't even use adblock anymore, I simply block all trackers and that blocks 99% of ads.

I still get redirects every 5 minutes on mobile where I don't have adblock. No thanks.
User avatar #18 to #12 - Draigor (12/18/2015) [-]
same thing happens to me
#13 to #12 - amuzen (12/18/2015) [-]
If that's the case there's a good chance you have a virus on your computer that redirects you places and Adblock is blocking it from functioning most of the time. You might want to get that looked into.
User avatar #15 to #13 - canichaikait (12/18/2015) [-]
It ONLY happens on funnyjunk though. And I'm sure it's not a virus. It happens whenever I use funnyjunk on any device I use without adblock. The first time it happened was when I made an account on the mobile device, so there wasn't any other programs other than the prerequisite ones. I even ran a scan of the device to make sure. It's funnyjunk that's giving redirects.

Or on your mobile, I don't really use Mobile so I don't know about that as much but I know you 'can' get viruses on that.

I've had adblock turned off on FJ for about 4 months, and I've never had any problems

Ditto. Maybe it's a regional thing.

I mean you can just disable it for the site. The ads really aren't invasive like they once were. At least I haven't found any.

This site has wasted so much of my time given me years worth of entertainment, I figure the least I can do in return is put up with a few ads.

I don't think so admin
User avatar #43 - nocakeforthetroll (12/19/2015) [-]

The only website I turn adblock off for is for youtube and thats only because I like having small breaks to use my phone, also the reason why I don't mind commercials on TV.

I turned adblock more that 1 year ago and never had any problems on this site. There are max 2 small adds per site. One which isn't always there above the content and 1 which is always there below the content, but above comments.

Its whatever. I can live without FJ but a lot of great people will need to move onto better social networking sites

Chances are 4chan's traffic will quadruple significantly.

I turned it off. My browser got redirected. It's back on now.
User avatar #41 - plaruti (12/19/2015) [-]
I turned it off for now and it's all good.

I've had adblock off for maybe 6 months now
if you get ads with sound or redirects, then you probably have malware.
User avatar #20 - nerolord (12/18/2015) [-]
I managed to block the pop up thing with my ad blocker.
User avatar #26 to #20 - doomedalive (12/18/2015) [-]
I didn't, so I made a little script for tampermonkey that automatically removes it when the page loads
