well, you also have kids viewing fj from school where they didn't have a pc or phone at home before, on one hand summerfags can be annoying but on the other it seems just as many people get online due to access to a pc during classes.
that and fj may be getting more popular as well drawing in more anons that may have accounts soon as well from other sites that are or may be pissing them off.
many possible reasons really.

a few of my close irl friends come on here and know who i am but in general i avoid it because i don't come here to get bothered by people usually, if anything i end up meeting people from here irl on occasion.
agreed though more popularity would be nice here, especially if we overtook facebook and the other sites one day.

same, i like the ability to hide and not have my info scanned for other people to find me etc.
the fact that the admin of this site has no ***** to give means that feminazis are fair game here as well as any other idiot groups who show up, if this was facebook, 4chan or tumblr you'd get banned for speaking your mind but freedom of speech is still fully protected here.

i am the driver, i take her everywhere including camping and fishing as well as shopping, what you see is her pretending to fly as i go down the road, irony is she's flight trained and hates flying, breed is eclectus parrot.
definitely my bird though, had her since she was young and i only keep birds as pets.

the reason i have those limits is because i have brain damage and a load of other mental issues that give me trouble plus i forget things easily, so in my case i stick to doing things that come naturally to me.
this is my oc, it's actually a griffon and a werewolf combined for the body, eyes i don't remember and the rest i made from scratch.

well if scary you want here's a remnant of my old hdd before it died killing 1tb of files, i call them living shadows, they were meant to be used to display negative emotions symbolically and were to be used in context.
their main trait is bleeding strange eyes and mouth, transparency and some have weapons vanishing in them or are holding things of significance, i think this one was stress, general pain or angst.

for me i have a strange art style i use fountain pens or mechanical pencils for or i stick to vectors and using silhouettes or components to create full images, however i'm limited to simple or birds and blueprints.

That looks pretty awesome. But if you do want to improve with your 2d art, go check out Mark Crilley and Zook Draws. They are my role models and mark has a lot of tutorial videos (even published a bunch of books)

That's actually pretty nice, I like it. Also yeah, I use mechanical pencils to, almost exclusively. (both of the links were done in mechanical pencils, but number 1 was traced over with pen after)

Also, if you want to improve, just leave your comfort zone. Every artist sucks at everything until they try it for a while.

for me it's not a comfort zone, i lack the ability to fully understand expressions or visualize things in 2d, i'm great at making real stuff though as well as restoring.
