Really? You're going to make webms out of the Brofessor's vids now?
Anyone who wants to see more, head on over to www.youtube.com/user/BroScienceLife. There's 70 of these videos. This is the guy who actually got me into lifting
Anaerobic effort doesn't add muscle mass like heavy lifting. So , the energy used in cardio must be supplemented in the diet, or you'll grow slower, or not grow, depending on your daily caloric intake. So if you cardio 1000 calories, you need to eat an extra 1000 calories to make sure you don't loose weight. Also being careful at what you eat, less fat, more carbs and proteins, and so on.
Yeh, 1000cal is a hell of a lot of cardio, if you do that and don't eat enough your body will burn muscle. Doing around 200-300cal of cardio on non-lifting days is better. Cardio won't slow down muscle growth unless you overdo it or undereat.
I usually don't do cardio since my VO2 is pretty high at the moment, though I want to jog from time to time, but I have no one to do it with, and it's boring alone.
my parkour gym used to be attached to a crossfit gym and the only useful thin i learned there was the kip up pullups because they are kinda effective for climbing a wall when you dont have the muscle or energy other than that it was all just stupid
