It probably the unique mcdonald's special country food they have

For example in canada quebec they serve poutine witch taste like **** because they are always too damm cold

It's ok. Each mcdonalds cater to the country it serves. Spaghetti is like a common kids party food in the Philippines. Our variety is sweet and tangy with hotdogs.

i'm from america but of thai descent and have visited thailand many times. the mcdonalds are everywhere and the menus are weird. they have like spicy chicken wings that you could get at like a U.S. KFC or something. and they have a shrimp burger and have sriracha and thai chili as their condiments. you could get ketchup too though. even the pizza hut had weird toppings. no pepperoni or cheese. shrimp, noodles, and fish pizza.

I thought the same thing. Seriously, go to the wikipedia site that shows all the different offerings in other countries. Some of the **** sounds fantastic. Japan has a burger called the Tamago Double Mac, a hamburger with three beef patties, pepper sauce, bacon, a poached egg, and optional cheese... **** sounds cash man...

I need to go to Poland: "During winter period you can get Kanapka Drwala ("The Lumberjack's Sandwich") - a big bun with pork rinds instead of sesame, a quarter pounder, bacon, big piece of deep-fried cheese, sauce and vegetables. "

You missed Japan's Mega Mac. Big Mac stacked within a Big Mac.

Or the Bacon Potato pie. Holy **** those are good.

Hawaii's Tarro Pie or Haupia Pie also good. Don't freak at the purple filling. It's delicious.

Dude, where I'm from, we peel the backs off of ocean spiders, scoop out their **** and innards, and then pick out the meat inside their carapace. I'm talking about blue crabs, but if you've never done it, I'm sure it's a culture shock. Purple filling ain't stopping me...lol.
#106 to #96 - oinos (05/27/2015) [-]
Doesn't stop me either, but some people are like "WTF McDiz pie with purple insides?!" and auto ignore it. **** is delicious though. taro is wonderful.
User avatar #107 to #106 - travishein (05/27/2015) [-]
Taro is a root right? I've never had it. But I've had rhubarb, and sweet potato pie...can't imagine it's bad.

Taro is pretty much a sweet potato. It's gud.

Slippery slope.
Next thing you know you're face is covered in coke, and you're humping some random hooker you don't remember in a ditch of a countryside in a country you have never remember having been to. And it's only then you realize your knee is in cow **** and that you don't see either of your clothes around either.

This is why you don't McDonalds. It will ruin your life. Not even once.

I'm not sure what it is, but I've had crabs from the gulf of Mexico, Florida's east coast, the Carolinas, etc. I've never had a better tasting blue crab than those right out of the chesapeake bay. Steam them bad boys with a **** ton of old bay seasoning...man they are so good.

We have poutine at Canadian McDonalds!
Yay! Stereotypes!
User avatar #83 to #81 - travishein (05/27/2015) [-]
Stereotypes aside, is poutine as delicious as it looks? Real talk. Like some regional foods people are like "It's soooooo good." Then you try it and it's like "meh".
User avatar #84 to #83 - misfitprince (05/27/2015) [-]
Well, poutine is delicious. It really is.
But when you live in Canada and have it so often, you really start to get tired of it.

But yeah, poutine is fantastic. Especially because of all the different options you can have with it. My favourite is pulled pork poutine.
User avatar #85 to #84 - travishein (05/27/2015) [-]
So a traditional poutine is fries, cheese curd and brown gravy? And then you have different additions in different restaurants?
User avatar #86 to #85 - misfitprince (05/27/2015) [-]
Correct!
We even have specialty poutine restaurants, that specialize in custom poutines with different additions.

Basically, we just took fries and ****** them up.
#91 to #86 - travishein (05/27/2015) [-]
Where I'm from, we have a regional potato dish, aptly titled "boardwalk fries". They are coarse cut russet potatoes deep fried in peanut oil. Then you liberally apply malt (or apple cider) vinegar. That's the basic. We then **** it up like you said. I've seen boardwalk fries chesapeake, which is basically the fries with crab imperial topping...they are ******* amazing. They really are fantastic fries though.
User avatar #119 to #83 - mizzycupcakes (05/27/2015) [-]
Just as a side note. Poutine is like everywhere here in Canada. They even go so far as to have fries and gravy as a side dish with 0 thought to having mashed potatoes as an available side dish. (they look at you like ur cray if you ask for it) Even at bars asking for gravy instead of ketchup with your fries is like a normal thing.... I was born and raized in AZ so it was a bit of a surprise. A good one though. It tastes quite literally like it sounds though. Gravy cheese and fries. And of course they are better in other places then some. Mcdonalds poutine sucks so I wouldnt choose that to be your first poutine experience if given the chance.
User avatar #122 to #119 - travishein (05/27/2015) [-]
The company I just started with does quite a bit of work in Canada, so I'm sure I'll be traveling up in the near future. I wouldn't get the poutine at McD's anyway...not for my first experience with it. I appreciate the info. What part of AZ did you grow up in. I was out in Tucson for a while during my AF stint (Davis Monthan). Loved it there, but I'm an ocean baby and would dearly miss the coast so never considered moving there. I was born and raised in Maryland/Delaware.
User avatar #124 to #122 - mizzycupcakes (05/27/2015) [-]
Ah thats fantastic!! I think theres a little mall chain called NY Fries that are pretty great. And if you're ever in Calgary, Alberta definitely go to The Charcut for their duckfat fried poutine with truffle gravy. /drool. I grew up in Flagstaff though and usually went back and forth from Phoenix to Flagstaff cuz family and theres nothing in Flag lol. If your an ocean baby I would never move to az for sure lol I lived in Cali when I was younger for like 2 years and 100% would live there if the circumstances were right. There is absolutely nothing better than fresh seafood from the ocean. I've always wanted to go to maryland because I heard the food was great but i'm not a huge fan of all the crazy rioting and racism and what not. What does your company do?
User avatar #127 to #124 - travishein (05/27/2015) [-]
We do commercial refrigeration. I'm in the engineering department. We have been certified to sell pressure vessels in Canada, which I understand is quite the headache...so we get a lot of return business. Maryland seafood, primarily Chesapeake Bay is top notch. I currently live in Delaware, and I love it. I get all the benefits of being close to the city (1 hour away from Baltimore, 1-1/2 from DC, 1-1/2 to Philly and about 2-1/2 to 3 hours from NYC), but I also live about 22 miles from the ocean and about 20 miles to the Bay. We don't deal with all the big city riots and if you were ever to come down, I'd highly recommend staying in Rehoboth Beach, Lewes or Bethany Beach Delaware. They are beautiful coastal resort towns with a **** ton of food, night life and some of the prettiest beaches you'll see (not somewhere tropical). The seafood here is just ridiculous. Check out some of these links when you get a chance.
