Will you go home and chop up you're pet tonight? YES!!! because humans kill animals for food!

Sounds pretty stupid, doesn't it?

That's like if Superman decides to save a bunch of people from a fire, he breaks their necks to prevent them from burning up.

well, what the intense bodylove did you think soldiers are for?
User avatar #53 - pfccross (07/15/2014) [-]
there is probably a few sociopaths in there, and in some circumstances of national security i think so, but if a general ordered a soldier to walk into a random house and shoot the residents dead for no reason, im quite sure they would refuse.

I think you're a faggot.

Actually, no. They wouldn't. Not unless they thought the people they were killing were a legitimate threat to the US as a whole. The military's purpose is to defend the US populace and interests from external threats, not internal ones. That's a different department.

I know a few veterans and what is described in this post is more in line with Blackwater or some other soldier for hire company.

They made the general opinion of the military on that subject quite clear:

Fighting for your country is one thing.

But fighting for money is whoring out your skills.

Blackwater gets no respect from these guys because they fight for money.

If US troops killed US citizens, they would NOT be happy about it, and there is a good chance they wouldn't follow those orders.

That's just my take.

Yes, let's remove all matters of integrity, morality, duty and then be as objective as possible
And then ask a question of integrity, morality and duty.
This is crap.

there is difference between a mercenary and a soldier...

Deployed soldierFag checking in.. Can deny. I(and most of my colleges) won't kill just for the paycheck. We would kill if it was lawful according to us and our values. Although I can't say anything for the specialized combat forces. I work in missile systems but we're infantry first, then our job.

Yep they do, it's not actually a bad thing, it's just something that happens.

If it's a US citizen that defected to the Taliban, then Yes
Average US Citizen, no

Soldiers aren't mercenaries. They kill for their country.
User avatar #23 - europe (07/15/2014) [-]
Some quite likely would. You got mentally sick people everywhere.

Right because sense of duty, honor, integrity, courage and commitment, etc. means nothing. Not like it's implied or established in the training Oh no that would be ridiculus!

Soldiers are people. Not heroes, not villains.

Some of them are heroes, defending those who need to be defended, some become villains, ruthlessly following orders without considering what´s wrong and what´s right.

What I´m trying to say is: If you get insulted because someone doesn´t think that all soldiers are heroes for simply enlisting or if you call them all murderers...well, if one of those two is the case you´re pretty damn retarted and a intense bodyloveing backpassage.

i came here to laugh not have me and my father demonized and insulted
our service and sacrifice bought this country its freedom
so take you're bulldigestive end product and shove it up you're ass
User avatar #7 - bluenebula (07/14/2014) [-]
Civilian casualties are an unfortunate product of any war, and most armies do everything they can to avoid it as often as they can. But digestive end product happens. It's easy to be an all-knowing backpassage after the fact, or when your not there to start with. The U.S. is not the only country with an army, and it's not the only army to kill civilians. Bad digestive end product happens. The difference is that the U.S. and these other countries are trying to save civilians, while terrorist extremists who occupy these cities in the middle east don't give a intense bodylove about civilians, and will use them as human shields.
User avatar #49 - watermelloon (07/15/2014) [-]
yes because people who enlist in the army to be doctors or teachers or dentists or chaplains or cooks have the complete and intended desire to destroy and kill everyone, because its not like their jobs help save peoples lives or create a more educated society or anything.

Would you be able to put that image on the internet if it weren't for them? No, you wouldn't. Are soldiers coming into you're home and forcing you into labor at gunpoint? No, they are not. Have you been in combat and know what they have been through? No, you have not and you do not. So if your going to criticize them, don't intense bodyloveing do it from the safety of a computer.
