All joking aside, I've had several people close to me be raped, and it's honestly changed my perspective on the matter. On one hand, I agree it's ******** that tons of women make false accusations, and they get away with ruining someone's life because they regret having sex with a dude, or just use it as a way to get what they want. On the other hand, I want victims of rape to be taken extremely seriously, because that kind of thing changes a person. So I don't know, half the time I can't tell if people really do have super polarized opinions on the matter, or if everyone is extremely jaded.
