I want to own all Pugs on earth so I can make them absurdly happy in the single generation before I allow them to die off as a failed human experiment.
Bretty gud, but I'm a selfish prick and the only non-existence I care about is mine. I do not care for the universe or for now anybody else but I fear the moment I will cease to exist. That pure darkness and nothingness that will fill and replace me. Hope I explained it well enough.
Sure I get that. But does the time from before you were born seem horrifying or dark? Does that time scare you? If it doesn't, then don't fear the time after your life, it will be just as neutral.
arent you more exited to see what its like after death? if there is an afterlife of any kind then it will be the grandest adventure you will ever face.
if there isnt then you wont be there to feel sorry about it.
who said anything about watching humanity? afterlife of any kind would be ballers as **** .
lets for instance take christian version of afterlife(heaven to be precice)
now, ALL the great actors, musicians, scientists etc etc etc. ALL of them are in heaven...or most of them atleast.. and most certainly they haventh just been sitting around singing lullabies. they have been creating. so not only will you get to read shakespeares new works, you get to hang around in a joint concert between tupac and elvis with mozart as the mc. not only that, but there will be alien cultures(possibly) there for you to study and go through all the exiting new things they have created through out their history.
and after hanging out with those a couple hundred years? why not see what humanity is up to! im pretty sure half life 3 and maybe final fantasy xxx had rolled out in that time. as well as ******** of new movies. and maybe even a chapter of berserk!! thats another century of fun just going through those.
but then, when you are having existential crisis. why not turn to the management? angels and god and whatnots dont have any obligation to follow any of the laws of physics or universe that we know or dont know about. so they could most likely in their "infinite wisdom" be able to cook up quite a lot of fun for you to go through that would be completely different from everything you have experienced so far.
the possibilities of just ONE of the ways afterlife will turn out is quite literally endless. norse have endless party, buddhism has reincarnation through different universes, hindu have reincarnation in the normal sense. there is just so many different chances. and this isnt even touching the subject that maybe afterlife and the universe itself was created by a being that is FAR BEYOND our scope of understanding.
only way you could stand to lose is, if finnish faith was right.
Heaven (in my belief) is basically achieving Nirvana, being oneness with God. Which depending on how it works out (and I'm probably wrong anyways) means I won't get to watch **** in the mortal realm. But I want to.
heaven is basically shown as paradise in traditional christianity. you are one with god in a sense that you are close to him. which brings you happiness. kind of like being close to the dearest person you know times ten. also IF you become one with god. then you would become omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. so you could quite literally watch humanity in every point of time and space.
