From what I've observed on the road in the last 4 years
Women are the clumsier drivers, they make a lot of the more boneheaded mistakes that leave you scratching your head, getting into accidents and **** .
Men are the aggressive assholes, especially in pickup trucks, they will drive fast, on your ass, no signals whatsoever, never turn of brights, just generally uncaring people. They're the kind of people I wish get pulled over.
On a separate note, old people are old people, they drive dangerously slow which on good conditioned roads has been proven to be more dangerous than driving fast. However, if you're looking for a cheap used car, look no further than an old person's car because they're usually treated the best (not a lemon), only downside is they're bad on gas.
**deckbox used "*roll picture*"** **deckbox rolled image**my mother, reversed out of a carpark, she caught a lamppost with her bumper. instead of going forward she carried on reversing thusly tearin the entire front of the car off, bumper and a light
how do you destroy the front of a car when you are reversing? only women could do that
Just going around I'm horrified by all the women doing makeup, hair and who knows what else while they're driving down the road. No hands on the wheel, steering with their knees. Just yesterday I was behind a dumb bitch who was using the phone AND putting on eye liner or maskera.
I actually did a survey of tailgaters for one month. Just people that tailgated me, nothing that I observed happening to others. Not like, "Oh, I'm passing the slow guy in the left lane and have to wait behind this guy for a second so a gap opens and I can pass him as well" but people that get 2 feet from the bumper and just sit there. 80% of the people tailgating were female (and most of the men backed off after a minute or two). Women seem to have a combination of a lack of depth perception and a complete and total failure to understand 5th grade level physics. I can't explain it any other way. Sometimes I think places like Saudi Arabia have the right idea as regards who can be licensed.
Thus I said "sometimes". I know women who drive very well. It just seems like the vast majority of them shouldn't be allowed to, based on what I see in my 60 mile daily commute. If the test is getting "harder", it's being built on the "everyone gets a trophy" concept, because the drivers seem to be getting worse and worse. I'm all for the idea of tougher testing, but it's not tough enough for what it is: determining if somebody is mentally/physically capable of operating what amounts to a bomb on wheels. You fail the test, you come back tomorrow and take it again, repeat continually until you do pass. It's idiocy. You don't even have to be able to read the language of the road signs and they'll give you a license. If getting a license were as hard as it SHOULD be, there'd be maybe 10% of the people on the roads that currently are. Instead we "special snowflake" any and everyone who applies and tens of thousands of people a year die as a result.
Vast majority? I sincerely doubt that given it's literally only from your perspective.
The tests are tougher in my state. You have to be near perfect in everything. If they're not like that in yours, pester the legislation to make it tougher.
Also, you can't just "go back tomorrow" you have to wait two weeks minimum, and in my state there's such a wait that in reality it's more like three months.
You have to be able to recognize road signs, if you can't then you're ****** in my state as the written test gives you at least five questions worth of identifying what a road sign means.
I currently live on a college campus. Know how many accidents we have? Zero. You do realize that the rate of accidents occurring among the 18-24 age group are declining massively, right? It's mostly older people who haven't taken the new tests that drive like ******* . My father didn't even know we had an emergency brake. That is bad.
We don't have special snowflakes in regards to the driver's tests. I'm sorry you're so biased this way, but have you ever stopped to consider that you might be saying "it's wrong for THEM, not for me?" we learn about this in driver's ed. A driver will criticize every driver but themselves and that leads to bad drivers.
My problem is that I live in Arizona, where half the population is here illegally and doesn't speak English and the Feds say we have to cater to them in every way. There's actually talk about making a driver's license an inalienable human right here, just so all the illegals can drive, even though they can't speak or read English, or even read Spanish. As to your waiting period to retest, I wish it were that good here. It's literally 24 hours. As to accidents, Arizona has "snowbirds", retirees from everywhere that actually gets cold that live here for 6 months (but pay nothing but sales tax, despite owning homes here). If you adjust for the huge population increase, the accident rate actually goes DOWN when there are more old people around. They don't text and drive, plain and simple. We do have special snowlakes here. Lots. And I may be biased, but there's not a single person I know who doesn't prefer to have ME drive than they drive themselves, even in their own vehicles. I had an excellent driver's Ed teacher, and one speeding ticket that was the result of a malfunctioning gauge that I was kinda wondering about. Sadly, driver's Ed isn't even required here. It takes next to nothing to get a license, and it seems to be getting easier. I'd pester our legislature, but the screaming PC police would say that anything they did to try to make driving laws harder would be discrimination against the illegal immigrants. Kind of a ****** situation. I'd leave this **** hole, but my business is here. Not exactly something I can just pack up and move.
The reason for that is the businesses that thrive off of paying dirt wages to immigrants they can just toss out any time.
I always assumed Arizona itself was a "special snowflake" state. Always complaining or worrying about one thing or another, always making illegal decisions and disobeying the law...
I'm a northerner and someone from the east coast and while I agree we do have our fair share of special snowflakes among my age group, it's not profitable to let them run amok with no testing or "real-world" experience. Especially when they usually have **** insurance and the costs of keeping them alive after a crash end up coming out of our paychecks.
It's all about the money.. and here, nobody really cares about illegal immigrants. We don't have companies that prefer them to Americans. And there's few enough of them that they barely affect our lives.
In our state though, if you can't pass the English or Spanish version of the written test with English road signs , and don't try your best to obey every single law outlined in the DMV guideline book during the driving test, you fail. I've failed it three times just because of being nervous and not having a safe driving demeanor.
Up here discrimination against illegal immigrants just means denying them the same basic human rights as everyone else. That doesn't mean they can get jobs unless it's through a green card agency or live off welfare. It just means we don't shoot them in the streets.
Drivers ed isn't mandatory there? No wonder all your young people suck. Driver's ed is not only mandatory here but you need at least 8 hours of drive time with a state instructor and 40 with a person who has more than 5 years of driving experience and a clean driving record. To top that off, you need to take a very horrifying course in regards to education involving DUIs and their consequences. Perhaps in other states parents would be livid that their 16 year old kid is exposed to shock and gore images... but in this one, every single kid including myself attended, and it sets the fear into you nicely.
Back to my original point.
Women drivers aren't, as a majority, bad drivers. Neither are men. Men cause more aggression based accidents and women cause more stupidity based accidents. But it's sexist to assume that most women drivers are bad and should be kept off the roads just because your state doesn't give enough of a **** about public safety and too much a **** about the profitability of illegals. It's not the people's fault your state goverment doesn't even try to educate them to not be dumb cunts when driving. Why punish me for the faults of your state? New York City is very much the same way though. I sincerely doubt a good percentage of the people there got their license through legal means.
Finally, if it's one thing I know... it's that politicians are puppets. Get enough of a voice going about illegals- which by the looks of Trump's supporters is a pretty loud roar- and you can pressure them to do anything. Same with the feds who at this point are only trying to protect what they perceive as American interests or at least the interprets of the big business lobbyists
I recommend, if this business is your own, looking to move it out of Arizona. If it's not, see if there's a transfer.
To be honest, I find that whenever I have issues with people on the road, they tend to be other men.
E.G., just today I was pulling onto the highway, when a guy in a truck drives up right alongside my car and refuses to slow down or speed up to let me in. After I throw on the brakes to avoid crashing into the end of the on-ramp, I finally get behind the guy. He then immediately slows down to 15 mph (on the highway) before pulling onto an off-ramp, so fast that I nearly got rear-ended by the person behind me, who only avoided it by swerving to the right.
I know that the make of the video tried, but her voice still seems to annoy me... Even with the music. AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaannnnnnnny WAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaay!
>Going to a party with 3 friends, totalling 5 people in car
>Going 60 km/h on icy road
>Dark out
>Tell her to take a left
>She zoned out and didn't see it
>The turn is right next to us across the road
>Suddenly she realizes
>Slams the steering wheel with the force of a supernova
>Go skidding across the other lane
>Almost hit a van
>Hit a snow bank with my side stuck against it
>Tells me to go out to push
>My chest hurts and the door won't open
>She gets annoyed
>Goes out to push
>People stop to ask if we're alright
>Chest stops hurting after a bit
>Pop a beer open while I wait for them to finish pushing
>10/10 car accident
Got super wasted at the party, and broke up with her a week later.
the Viz comic once had a piece where they crunched the numbers in such a way that they showed that you're statistically less likely to be involved in an accident while speeding and over alcohol limit
The funny thing is, in any other circumstance, you might have had a point there. Except my boss is a woman, I was a chick in the 40's, I hate everyone equally, and there's no one alive who can comprehend my sexual preference.
Yeah you got it. That's the only way I use that reaction. I understand that in the context of the video it came from it doesn't mean that, but out of context with just this clip by itself, it makes the most sense like that.
